dear Ben, Eli, Jennifer, and Tom, I barely know what to say, except that
I can hardly think of anything else today except of the need to pray for
you all. My heart is so there with you. Can you feel my arms around you?
Can you hear me whispering comfort into your ear? Can you tell that the
Lord is in your midst, a Mighty Savior, who is rejoicing over you with
great gladness, and with His love He is calming your fears with singing?
(Zeph. 3:17) Oh, what I wouldn't give to be there in person with you....
How I love you and thank God for bringing all four of you into my life.
Just this morning I have been in touch with a mother in our church who
has compassionately been following your website and praying for you. She
and her husband have walked the path you are walking and tells me some
of what is happening between the lines of what you so tenderly write....

praying for Ben.. We know that God has already used him to touch so many
lives... And we know that God still has a plan. It would be nice if God
would write everything down on stone like He did for Moses.... But that
doesn't happen. Maybe some day Ben will stand before a whole room full
of Promise Keepers telling them about the time 7000 of them prayed for
him, and he's there now to tell them how that prayer worked..... How
awesome our God is.. God is Good All the Time..... All the Time God is

Praise be
to God for the latest news report. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing the
surgeon to get so much of the tumor. Now we ask for a miracle through
radiation to totally eliminate the tumor! We also ask that Ben be put
back into St. Jude's program. We ask in your holy name, Amen. Tom &
Jennifer -- keep up your spirits. What sweet little boys you have.
Prayers are going up hourly for little Ben and Eli. Special prayers for

I have
followed "Big Bens Story" for the past few months and I pray everyday
for his recovery from this terrible cancer. My heart is heavy for Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and Ben at this crucial time. You do not know me but I am
a friend of Laura (Hensley) Thomas and Melony Pickens and I either check
email at work or home as much as possible but always remember to say a
"special" prayer for all of you and just wanted you to know that
although it is very tough now, God knows best and I feelas you that God

Hey guys!
I've been watching and waiting with you here at St. Jude. My family and
I are praying hard for Ben's speedy recovery from this surgery. Amelia
has said a special prayer for Ben the last 2 nights. We also are praying

to hear the new good news. Ben is amazing!! What you have written about
the long term versus the short term is so very true. It's impossible for
ANY of us to completely know or plan for what lies ahead in our
lives.... it's one breath, one moment, one day at a time, making the
most out of what you are given at that time and trusting God's plan
above all. You are so wise to let yourself take in and accept that gift
of peace. Simply stepping back and trusting God to step in can be so
counter-intuitive when things are really rough, but it is the most

Jennifer, BIG Ben and your family have been in my prayers very, very
much. We want things to happen on our time, but isn't it great God's
never late - He's always on time. We don't know what His plans are for
Big Ben, but we do know whatever He has in store is the best. I do
believe and know that God will never leave you and never forsake you.
He'll stand by you when the going is rough, and when you can't stand,
He'll carry you. Sometimes it may look like the battle is lost, but

praying that St Jude will keep Ben for the radiation treatment. We are
fortunate to have one of the best hospitals in the world here. I hope
you are like me and will be comforted with the thought of staying here
in Memphis for treatment. I know that I wouldn't want to be any where

Hi my
name is Rebekah VanNierop proud mother of our little angel Jonathon
Scott. Truly he is! He passed away from the ugly monster ATRT on July
19, 2004. Wanted to let you guys know that you are always in our
prayers. May God watch over Ben and your family, he was truly with our
baby. Sure it may have ended the way we never wanted, but one thing I am
assured of is that the devil CAN NEVER TOUCH OUR BABY! He is at peace
and now we are. Your song was very beautiful and said exactly what we
