I've been
reading your updates and guestbook entries for 45 minutes. As I sit here
with tears rolling down my face, my heart is breaking. But I am reminded
once again of God's love and sovereignty. Although we are saddened and
surprised by the outcome of today's surgery, we know that God is not
surprised. He is all-knowing and He is in control. He is all-powerful
and His hand is on precious Ben and He will do a great work through
him.(He already has!) I pray for you both to have supernatural strength
to endure the days ahead and for angels to minister to you. I pray for
sweet little Eli and for the Lord's comforting presence to surround him
and for angels to minister to his needs also. I pray for healing for Ben

Jennifer, As I sit here reading your entry, I can't hold back the tears.
It is 9:00 p.m. and everybody at the station has went to bed, but me.
All day I have been thinking about Ben. I just stepped into the Engine
bay, laid my head on the bumper of our pumper, a symbol of safety in our
profession, and prayed to God that he would put his healing hand on Ben.
We both know that God is the "GREAT PHYSICIAN" and All things can be
done by HIM. Tom and Jennifer, I am so uplifted by your strong root in
Christ. Tom, Jennifer, Eli, and Ben,you are truly God's children.

In one of
my darkest hours, late one night,when I thought my heart would break,
the Lord gave me these verses. It was like He reached down from Heaven
and picked me up and held me and whispered these words to me. They say
so much more than I can in my feeble attempt to comfort you. I want to
share them with you: Psalm 94:18-19 "When I said,'My foot is slipping,'
your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your
consolation brought joy to my soul."

Dear
Tommy, Jennifer Eli, Ben and Family, I learned about Ben through another
dear friend and prayer warrior of mine. I have been reading his story,
and I too Believe that God will bring a Miracle Healing to Ben. God will
answer in His time, and He will provide the answer to Ben's healing,
Jesus has performed many miracles when He was here on earth before, and
I do Believe He will perform a Miracle on Ben.

We are
aching with you, and overwhelmed with what this day has brought your
way. We want so badly to comfort you, but the Lord is the only one who
can offer that in all times of need. Here is what David said about our
God when we are in frightening times: "Though the mountains fall into
the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, we will not
fear." (Psalm 46:2-3) It's hard to imagine anything scarier than this
disease, but God tells us even if the very earth that our houses are
built on crashes into the oceans, we shouldn't be frightened. Tonight,
we will rest in houses built on the land that is, for this moment, solid
and supportive. But tonight and ALL nights, we can rest in the unfailing
arms of Jesus, the Great Protector, Provider, and Physician. We love you

My friend
Laura has a daughter who was treated in Cleveland for the same type of
tumor that Ben has. Kelsey’s tumor was above her eye. This was all about
6 or 7 years ago. They had FANTASTIC doctors in Cleveland and aa special
machine at the clinic for tumors that are hard to radiate. I’m not sure
if there is any information that Laura may have that could help. Laura
is a wonderful person, and not without her share of heartaches, and her

been keeping close touch with the messages you leave everyday. I pray
that Ben is doing better now. I go to a small church in Iaeger. We had
special prayer for Ben, Sunday nite. We may be a small church, but, we
serve a big God. And I know that his hands are on you and your sons
through all of this. Ben has touched so many lives already. He has
certainly touched mine. Just keep your faith. I wish there was more that
