I have
been following Ben's story for some time now. It's a daily activity for
my wife and I to discuss the latest on Big Ben. We just wanted you to
know that we are praying very hard for you, Ben, and your mommy, daddy
and brother. You have been such an inspiration to everyone who's heard
about you. We wanted to let you know what a wonderful witness you and
your family are to us. May God bless you and keep you close. You're a

Dear Ben,
I look at those big beautiful eyes and can't help but wonder why such
and amazing being has to endure such a trying task. I don't always
understand God's plans, but I know that he holds the world in his hands
and he know what he's doing. I know that I've never met you, I have
however followed your story for sometime now. I got on this site through
little McKinley's site. However, in just a short time, I have grown so
attached to seeing your beautiful smiling face. YOU ARE A GIFT! I know
God is smiling down on you right now. I wish I knew exactly what to say,
but I have no words to express my thoughts. I am blown away by the faith
that your family has. I am blown away by the joy I see in your photos. I
want you to know that although we may never met this side of
heaven....someday I will hold your hand. I am so sure of that! You have

Your tone
today (25th) seemed lighter. It seemed that even though Ben has been up
and down that he has provided some much needed uplifting for your family
in the recent hours. I am glad to hear he is very responsive at
breakfast. I thank God for that little miracle in itself. I find myself
realizing that even though things get bad and we do not understand why,
we can flip on the TV and see someone else in a worse situation. We
always have to be thankful for what we do have and what our blessings
have been and continue to be. Their is so much love in your home and
their are many that never know love at all. All of you give it to one
another and it is truly a most beautiful thing. I know you understand
whay I mean. As I have said before in my messages to you, words can
never describe it. All of you are so beautiful. I promise you with all
my heart that all of you have a big place in my heart. I wake up and go

Jennifer, Eli, and Ben, I pray for each of you to recieve God's
blessings and comfort in these difficult days. I ask God to give Ben
peace and freedom from pain and to give each of you peace, understanding
and patience. I lost my husband to ALS on June 27, 2004 at the age of
55. I know that I could not have made it through his illness without

My heart
breaks reading about the last days & weeks; we, too, know exactly what
you are dealing with, juggling the meds to find that fine line between
just enough and too much. We lost our son, Tristan, to this same
horrible disease almost 2 years again and your story is devastating. The
love you have for your children is amazing and your faith will give you
the strength you need. I can't remember anymore how much or how little
sleep I got around that time; it doesn't matter anymore. Your update
mentions that Ben is using Morphine - have the doctors discussed using
Fentenol? (I should know the spelling but I don't); our son did much
better on that than morphine. If I can help in any way, please don't
hesitate to let me know. I'm many miles away but you are in my thoughts
