followed Hanna's story before she went to Jesus and was amazed at the
faith this family had throughout her illness. I have been following
Ben's, too. You are a remarkable family and have been so blessed to have
such a wonderful little boy. What a testiomy you are to others! Most of
us would encounter at least some bitterness at having to watch our child
suffer! I had lung cancer a couple of years ago and it was discovered by
one simple ex-ray that my foot surgeon insisted on doing before surgery.
He orders chest ex-rays before any surgery. In taking that chest ex-ray,
it saved my life! My surgery was cancelled the day before I was suppose
to have it, and I was introduced to a lung surgeon instead. I had a
stage three cancer and was told I had a 50/50 percent chance of
surviving it. I said "no, it's relly a 100% chance, because God is
dealing with the numbers." I gave Him the full 100% and relied on him to
send the best doctors and treatments possible. I am still in remission.

your inspiration to our family. It is through your family that our new
family has realized the importants to slow life down and enjoy every
moment together. We had the distinct honor of spending time with you
guys after having a basketball tournament fund raiser for Big Ben. We
truly only expected to meet with your family for only a few minutes,
long enough to present your family with a check for the money raised
during the basketball tournament. You guys invited our family and the
Napier family to lunch then allowed us to spend "QUALITY" time with your
special family. Tom and Jennifer, you two have come from the finest mold

with you. The pizza looked delicious and you looked like you were having
a blast making it "just so", even if it was missing a slice or two of
pepperoni. You do have to test it to make sure it's ok for everyone else

was dreaming that you had crawled into my lap just like you did at the

I feel
compelled to share with you all a story I heard today in church. My
pastor was telling of a fellow pastor who lost his son in a terrible
accident. After a while of hearing everyone tell him it was all part of
God's plan, he told them no, it wasn't. God's heart, he knew, was the
first to break when he lost his son. I feel sure that God's heart is
breaking with all that is happening with Ben. But he has given you all
the amazing grace you display in every aspect of your life and Ben's
care. Ben is such a blessing, a true ray of light, and one that you've
been so lucky to know over the last two years. Thank you for sharing
this special angel with all of us.

Hey there
Bowen Crew!!!! Well just because I don't sign very often doesn't mean
you all are far from my thoughts and prayers. Everyone keeps asking
about yall around here all my family and friends. They can't handle
anymore bad/good news so they just ask me and if I start out with well
they say ok never mind if I say hey guess what they say WHAT!!!! They
all have a feel for how I am now though. It has been a very rough past
few weeks but I also know Aaron is somewhere we all can only dream of
and someday be if we are right with HIM. I want to thank all of you and

I've been
thinking about Ben and your family a lot recently. I know it's selfish,

Bowens! I am a member of River Cities Community Church; however, I have
never had a chance to meet you. I just wanted to know you to know that
all of you are in my prayers. I have appreciated the website so much
because it has allowed me to share Ben's Story with everyone in my

from you in Midville Heights. Bruce, Mitzi, Allison and Brogan. I have
remarried and my last name has changed to Vance. I wondered when you
received this e-mail if you would know who I was. I had heard from a
friend who went to church with you about Ben, but was never able to get
the e-mail address right, but the other day I saw the billboard on Route
60 so Brogan and I got on the site. Our hearts were broken when we read
about what Ben is going through. I am so sorry. We will keep Big Ben in
