I was
thrilled to receive my wristbands today. Numbers 15:38-39
..."Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the
corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. You will have
these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of
the Lord..."
In
her Bible study entitled "Believing God", Beth Moore refers to this
verse and asks that as a takeoff of God's command to the Israelites,
participants in the study wear a blue cord around our wrists as a
constant visual reminder to keep on believing God. What better "blue
cord" could there be to remind us to keep believing God than a blue Big
Ben wristband? Thanks, Ben, for always reminding us that we believe in
God.

family, It has been so many years since we have last spoken or have seen
each other. Bill and I have kept tabs on you and your family through
Bill's parents, Bill and Karen. We were just heartbroken to hear of your
little Ben's struggle. We have a boy and a girl around the same ages of
Eli and Ben, and can not imagine the devistation and heartache that you
both have endured as parents. We have prayed for you. We have also
prayed for your boys. Eli for patience and understanding, and little
"Big Ben" for strength to endure what his little body has had to go
through. It just brings me to tears as I type. From what I have read, he
is a very strong little man, that has touched many lives. I'm sure that
you consider him your "blessing, gift from God". As times have been very
hard for Ben and may be inevitably getting worse, remember that we and

Dearest Little Ben, I can not even begin to tell you how often I thought
of you while we were out of town the past 3 and a half weeks. Not one
single day went by that I didn't think of you and lift you and your

I just
wanted to write and share that my thoughts and prayers are with the
Bowen family. I check on Ben and the family often. I met you guys way
back in June, when I was an OT sudent at St. Jude. I only observed Ben a
few times with Miss Dorian, but I have never forgotten him. He had such
a wonderful presence throughout the hospital and that big smile was
contagious. I pray for strength and courage for Eli during this time and
