Jennifer
and Tom, thank you so much for allowing Eli to visit with us during
junior church at UMBC yesterday. With all that the little fellow has
experienced, one would expect him to act out or be afraid, but certainly
not to be the bright-eyed, sweet, sensitive young man he is. He was by
far the most cooperative and caring of the group we had. We, Chelsea,
and the other kids were blessed by his visit. You are remarkable parents
whose love is evident in Eli. We haven't forgotten Big Ben---he'll
always be in our hearts. Please know that we love you guys and are
touched whenever we see you.

Dear Mr.

I am so
sorry...I did not realize that Ben had passed on. But he is an angel
with God now, and he feels no more pain. I am truly sorry, God bless
your whole family. I am hugely sorry for your loss. A treasure like Ben
is irreplaceable, but he will always be in good hands now. :)

I am a
friend of Jonathan Summers and his family! Through them I learned about
Ben and his wonderful family and have checked in on you all many times
over the past year!! Every time I read your updates I cry and hurt so

Family- As I continue to check in on you, I continue to be amazed by
your family. I cannot even imagine what you are going through. You spoke
of your need to honor Ben through helping others- and having never met
you I also feel the need to honor Ben through helping others. As I begin
my fourth summer volunteering at Children's Medical Center in Dayton, I
will come across many "Bens." Your family has enabled me to better help
other families, better able to to make a difference and for that I thank

I just
thought i would check and see how you guys were doin i still wear my
bracelet everyday i never take it off i even wore it to prom even though
it didnt match my dress but big ben goes everywhere with me i pray for
your family everyday your son really touched my life i am even
considering going into the nursing field and trying to work at st. judes
