Wishing
you safe travels on your way home this week. May you found the peace,
rest and love you went to rekindle. Hope you took tons of pictures,
can’t wait to see them. Eli has a scratched eye. These are the normal
childhood things I was talking about. He will do some crazy stuff. All
normal and fixable. Kiss his sweet face for me. It would have to hurt.
My boys have done that. It is amazing how fast they heal. As your time
in Florida had to remind you of your time spent Bens Birthday. May I
remind you of how great Ben was and is through his story and his family.
I love you guys and still pray for you all daily.

Can't
wait to hear about the trip. I hope you all had a great time and that
Eli's eye is healed. May you have a safe trip home. God is still in
control. I'm sure you've touched many lives on this trip by telling the
story. Big Ben...always and forever. He will always be with us in
spirit. I love you all and continue to keep you in thought and prayer.

Dear Tom
and Family, My name is Kristina Crites and I have been following your
story for some time now. I pray for you always. I was wondering if I
could do something in Ben's honor. I've been contacted by St. Judes
about doing a mile walk fundraiser in our area. I'm going to coordinate
this and the money raised will go to St. Jude. I'm wondering if I could
do this in honor of Ben? Just email me and let me know. Thanks and God
bless you all.

Dear
Bowens, I just wanted to let you know that I still think about you guys
and pray for you daily. While I go to River Cities Community Church, I
haven't had the chance to meet you yet. It's amazing how I never met
Ben, yet he has had such a lasting impact on my life. I am a better
person because of his story. I also wanted to let you know that I'm a
student at Marshall, and we had our first annual Relay for Life on
Thursday. Candles surrounded the track in honor or memory of people, and
I placed one there for Ben. Messages to Heaven were also released, tied
to balloons. At the end of the night, around $14,000 had been raised for
the American Cancer Society! I hope you had a wonderful time at
Disney... you deserve it! Please know that you will always be in my
prayers. Love you guys!

Welcome
home guys, Hope you had alot of fun in Disney, I hope this time was also
theraputic for you and gave you time to reflect on the many memories you
have with Ben. Yesterday our pastor talked about seeing life as a race,
and I couldnt help but think of you, it almost brought me to tears. He
shared a story about a woman who was invited to help in the special
olympics and although her kids had never had any special needs she went
anyway. She said there was often someone running along side them
encouraging them along the way and someone at the end ready to give them
a big hug for a job well done. She said that most of the kids and adults
werent running the race to win or to beat someone else, but for the hug
at the end. Our pastor said that we as people are like the people in the
special olympics, we often get distracted easily and we have to surround
ourselves with people who will keep us on the right track and that we
should live life, not to beat someone or to win but for the hug at the
end.

Dear Tom,
Jennifer and Eli, Welcome home. I hope your vacation was restful and
fruitful. I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You are a
blessing and light to us all. May we, as the Body of Christ, be the same
for you. " Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of compassion and of all comfort, who comforts us in all our
troubles, so that we may comfort those in any trouble with the comfort
we ourselves have received from God." 2Cor. 1:3-4 Love in Christ, Kim

I was so
glad to hear you made it home safely. I think of you so often. Even
though your hearts are broken, and you still feel the huge void that Ben
left, I pray the time away was a time of reflection, happy memories, and
healing. I also pray that Eli is coping well. I wish I could give him a
big hug! I know God isn't finished with the Bowen family. Looking
forward to hearing about your trip. God bless you all! Much love to you,
Anita

Welcome
home Tom, Jenn, and Eli! What a wonderful thought. You've come home,
returned to where you were destined to be, to people who love you and
missed you and while they understood the need to go away, how wonderful
to have you 'home' again. The gap left by your absence has been filled.
The anticipation is over, now there are happy faces and joy to be with
you again. How wonderful it will be to truly go home some day! What a
shock to have the last blast of winter on April 24. Mom's lilac bush and
dogwoods got dusted with snow but the blooms have held. It's our pray
that your trip, time with Eli and each other, and quiet time with God
restored and refreshed you and that the bittersweet burden of sadness
lifts a little each day leaving more of the 'sweet' in its wake. We love
you, T&N
