hello. my
name is chasidy watkins. i have seen the articles and interviews about
your sweet baby ben on tv and in the newspaper. i want you to know how
very sorry i am for your loss. he immediately touched my heart. i see
things all of the time about sick children and it is always
heartbreaking. your ben was about the same age as my baby ben. my son
was born at kdmc in aug.2003. he had a birth defect that kept him in the
nicu for about a week. he was born with a cleft lip and palate which at
the time seemed devastating but i soon realized just how lucky we were.
you never dream that anything will happen to your baby. he's had 2
surgeries and will have 2 more. i prayed that things would end
differently for your family. i can't imagine what you all must have gone
through. my husband is an ashland firemen and i also have a son named
eli. he is my middle child-3 years old. i don't know what else to say.
i'm just so sorry for your family. your baby ben was absolutely
beautiful and just seemed like a sweetheart. i'll never forget how y

again mighty Bowens, I say mighty because I truely consider you WARRIORS
for Christ. I firmly believe that is why you shared this journey with
the world. God laid this work on your heart and you just followed
through as instructed, never asking questions, just being faithful and
believing. The utmost description of a Warrior for Christ. Well done,
and as you have said many times "it isn't done yet". There is always
work to be done, as long as I have breath let the work go on and let us
continue to Praise and Honor HIM just as Ben's life did. Just have to
share one thing. So many things seem to come full circle... We found out
about Ben on Michael W. Smith's web site. For my 43rd birthday (March
1,2005) my husband got us tickets(row 5)to see Michael W. Smith in
Springfield, MO. I am taking one of the original "BIG BEN" wristbands
with us in hopes of getting it to him. I know Ben met him and since he
is how we came to know of your family, I just want to thank him for it.
Besides EVERYONE needs a "BIG BEN" band. Lov

see you when you came to childrens recently. I am a nurse on A7 where
Ben was. I helped stephanie out some with Ben. You guys are a true
inspiration to me. I wear my "Big Ben" blue bracelet every day with
honor. When people ask why I am wearing it I get to tell them about a

I have
tried so many times to sign the guestbook, but struggle for words to
say. I want you to know that I think of you ALL THE TIME and my heart
ACHES for each of you. I still check the web site several times a day
for updates and to view the slideshows. This morning I played the song
"He's My Son" as Brogan was getting up for school. We wish there was

My heart
and prayers are still with you all, I think of Ben Everyday, and tell

I just
want you to know that my husband and I have followed your journey for a
long time, and I never knew what to say. But I want to tell you now that
our prayers have always been with you and baby Ben and little man Eli,
and they continue to be now. I have learned much from you all on a daily
basis, regarding how to live my life, and the importance that faith
plays in all of our lives. I am motivated to be a stronger christian and

video about ben. my son is 2 i think of ben all the time when i where my
bracelet. i am so proud to have got to know this brave little boy.i just

Hope you
guys are having a great time with Eli. Hope he got his "Bob the Builder"
package and has been doing some coloring and reading. Larry and Mary
were at our house this evening and shared with us about Extreme Home
Makover. Pat and I watch the show all the time and Sunday night we said
"Wouldn't that be cool if they came to Tom & Jennifer's"? Somebody was
already a step ahead of us. Sure hope that works out that would be
AWESOME! Stephanie and I drove up to the cemetary yesterday afternoon
and stopped and prayed for the three of you. Stephanie asked me if I
thought Ben knew we were there? I told her absolutely. I told her he was
in heaven having a grand ole time and playing with all his friends. You

sorry to hear about Ben, i have tracked most of his progress through my
little cousins website that details everything that is going on with
her. I read the different articles about him and everything that you
have been through. It surprised me to see that he had passed away. I am

strange to say, since I am nothing but an internet stranger really, but
I can not help but to shed a few tears when I see sweet Ben's pcitures
on this website. He was so handsome and his eyes just sparkle. I am so
