Jenn: As you get ready for the next round of treatment, we will
continually be in prayer for you all. Know that you can do all things
through Him who strengthens you. He is your ever present help in time of
need. He commands us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
prayer & supplication to let our requests be known to him. Casting all
your cares on him for he cares for you. Jehoshaphat feared the great
army coming against him and sought God. Then he proclaimed do not fear
or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not
yours but God's - stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your

I can't
even begin to fathom what you are going through, but I do know that God
is ABLE! I know he is able to offer GRACE abundantely. Ben is your
little boy and you love him more than life, but can we even fathom how
much Jesus loves him? I know you must all be weary and I am earnestly
praying that God will give you a strengh like you have ever known and a
peace in your heart that passeth all understanding. I will be saying
special prayers throughout the day tomorrow for all the areas of concern

The words
that are so hard for you to write, are the words that are so hard for us
to read. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult it must be for you to
sleep tonight and to face bringing your sweet boy in tomorrow morning.
It seems unbelievable that healing and renewed life must involve so much
pain. Corrie Ten Boom, a survivor of the German concentration camps,
authored many books about the amazing miracles that God orchestrated
amidst the horrors of their lives. Her testimony when she spoke was
unbelieveable. Yet, when asked whether there were ever times that she
still doubted God, she responded that she did everyday, but that he was
so faithful to her despite those moments. My prayer is that God's
presence may be so real to ALL of you during the next few days even in
those dark moments of doubts. Believing has to be a minute by minute
committment, may the prayers of all who know you strengthen you for each
of those minutes. Believing with you.

Jennifer, Thank you all so much for your continued faith, no matter what
happens. Your strength encourages us to make it through our worst days
without complaining and it renews our faith to see your family clinging
to the Lord and resting in Him! Jennifer: just wanted to tell you that
as a GA job this week, I had to clean out the student library
"collection" in our dept. and found a speech therapy book from 1896!
What a valuable resource to us, as students, in our student library.

What a rough week. I can tell by the updates that this is getting more
serious and more prayers are definetly in order. So that is what we will
do and continue to pray for a mircle that only God can send to free Ben
from this illness. I hope you still feel support from this guestbook. It

My heart
aches for what you guys are going through. All of you (Tom, Jennifer,
Eli & Ben) are so strong we sometimes forget how devastatingly hard this
is on you. Believing does get hard at times, but those are the times we
need to step back and look at our life and see how much God really has
done and is doing for us. God does and will continue to do wonderful
things for all of us. I hate that any of the kids at St. Jude have to be
going through this, but God does have a plan. I can't wait to see Ben on
the news tonight. I will put extra prayers in for Ben through these days
of low counts and "bad chemo".

will be praying for Ben in these next very tough days and will pass
along your update the YFC/USA NSC to do the same. Sounds like you need a
lot of strenght and endurance right now. I will pray for that as well as
for Ben (sickness, treatment, complications, counts, bleeding,
health...). I am sorry that you have to go through all of this! I am so
glad that you can cling to Jesus! Keep it up! My husband and I have
talked about coming to visit you guys in Mid-August. I know that you do
not know us, but we would like to come and encourage you if the timing
is right. We have a little boy Ben's age, so our heart breaks for you!

I've been
praying for you Ben throughout the night and still today. I have your
beautiful picture with your dr on my computer wallpaper to look at all
day while I pray at work. I pray so much for healing for you. You have
been through so much, it is unreal. I am amazed everyday by your
progress and the tremendously difficult treatments, medications that you
endure. I hope when you are old enough to understand this wonderful
Guestbook set up for you, that you will see what an example your entire
family has been of Christ's unchanging love through the people you have
touched. You are AMAZING, WONDERFUL, FAITHFUL, ENDURING, LOVING,

Just
wanted to share an experience that happened to me yesterday while taking
my daily lunch break walk around the KY Horse Park. I was at my favorite
part of the walk, listening to a local Christian radio station on my MP3
player when the "He's My Son" song came on. It was such a perfect day
and the park is such a beautiful place... I just KNEW God was
everywhere.... in that beautiful moment, in that pleading song.. and
somewhere in Tennesee, holding your hand. The song reached its climax
and I looked up into the waving branches of those big old oak trees,
into the clear blue sky, and just felt complete peace and awe at His
wisdom and control. Experiences like that--- experiences that happen
every day, even on bad days, if we only look for them-- are more
powerful than any words.

HANDSOME I saw you and Eli on the news. It was a GREAT story. You guys
are growing like huge weeds. You’ve both have changed and matured a lot
since I saw you at Ben’s farewell and Eli’s Birthday party. When I see
Ben and Eli again I want there autographs. Very Handsome… I loved seeing
you walk and SMILE.. That smile.. You need no words when you smile like
that. You’re just reeling them in. Must be a Bowen thing because Eli has
the same crush your heart smile. My heart breaks for your Mommy and
Daddy they love you both so much.. You can tell when they speak of you.
But do not fear. We are here your praying stampede of friends and
family. Anything... Anything at all just ask. I seen that last update
and it sounds like a long ride. But we are here buckled in and ready to
go. I know you won’t be getting this before treatment. But I was there

Bowens! We are keeping the prayer lines humming tonight for Ben and the
upcoming round of chemo, and that his hemoglobin level in the morning
will be high enough to undergo this round of medicine. I unfortunately
missed tonight's WOWK story, but will be glued to the TV tomorrow night
to catch the second installment. Tom, when you get back to town, I have
a little 4-wheel diversion for you to play on in the woods, to relieve a
little stress, clear your mind, and pretty much get filthy dirty in the
process. Not quite the size of the grizzly but it will "git 'er done"! I
know your hearts are heavy tonight, and I pray that this black cloud is
