So glad
you are out.. Wow what a kid. Always amazing me. How he finds a smile in
such a difficult time. But that is Ben. It is so great Toms parents were
able to be there with you guys. I thank God for them and pray for a safe
trip home. I saw Bens story on the 11:00 news last night. People playing
basketball to raise money. Ben and your family have touched people who
dont even know him. You are truely loved. I will pray for good days and
better ones to come. I also pray that the germ dont find Ben and he
keeps smiling and pulling forward through this. Stay well Bowens. We are
praying and think of you often.

Glad Ben
is back "home". He remains such a tough little guy. I missed the segment
of the news while you were in Huntington. I would love to see it if you

It is
easy to tell you to believe GOD at this time, I don't have your
situation. Yet that is exactly what faith in GOD requires of us. To
"mix" belief in our hearts with the promises of GOD. He. 12:3 warns
against "an evil heart of unbelief" because that stops GOD from working
in our behalf. 1Pe. 2: 24 "by whose stripes ye were healed." Jesus has
already done this for Ben. GOD has only good plans for Ben and sickness
is from the "evil one". Jer. 29: 11 speaks to the plans of GOD for Ben,
"plans of peace and not evil".

Just stumbled across your sight today. My wife and I lost our only
child, Robert, to Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney last year. Your son
remids me so much of mine - it's just scary. Know that God has a plan
for each of us - we may not understand it - or agree with it. Keep the
faith that God is in control and his plan has not been defeated. We will

was introduced to a wonderful man last night...your father. He spoke at
the American Rescue Workers National Awards Banquet. He shared your
story...the story of your family and the story of his faith. I've been
familiar with St. Jude for 4 years. One of our radio stations has
actively been involved in the Country Cares program...like your Dad told
us last night...you need the right tools for the job. God certainly has
blessed the doctors, nurses and researchers at St. Jude with the right
tools to help make you well. I've visited the hospital myself 4 times
and always come away amazed at the strength the families find in their
faith and in each other. I'm telling Ben's story to continue inspire our
staff to do good works for St. Jude, and to keep you, Eli and your Mom &
