Tom &
Jennifer, Still praying for you, especially as you are in "the waiting
room". I have lived through those every 8 week tests, trusting God but
being anxious for my little one as well. Hang on to God and each other
knowing that there are many, many people praying for you. Pam

Hey Tom
and Jennifer, we've been praying all morning - trusting the Lord is
holding you tight during the tests and the waiting -- as I was reading
yours and Hannah's updates and remembering the days of waiting this
verse came to mind that sustained me more times than I can recall "Be
still and know that I am God." Steven Curtis Chapman put it so well in a
song that goes like this: "Be still and know that He is God. Be still
and know that He is holy. Be still oh restless soul of mine, bow before
the Prince of Peace, let the noise and clamor cease. Be still and know
that He is God. Be still and know that He is faithful. Consider all that
He has done, stand in awe and be amazed; and know that He will never
change. Be still - Be still and know that He is God. Be still and know
that He is God. Be still and know that He is God - Be still - Be
speechless. Be still and know that He is God. Be still and know He is
our Father. Come rest your head upon His breast, listen to the rhythm of
His unfailing heart of love, beating for His little o

I did it
again - too many words and so I was cut off in mid-stream ... sorry --
here's the rest ... Be still and know He is our Father. Come rest your
head upon His breast, listen to the rhythm of His unfailing heart of
love, beating for His little ones, calling each of us to come -- Be
still -- Be still." May these scripture filled words sustain you as you
wait today, and as you face each day of the 'race' ... praying and
believing - one day at a time ... Mary Ellen

It's
11:30 am as I sit here praying for the doctors to give you encouraging
news. I would like to tell you that I understand what you are going
through, but I can't. I do however know that we serve a risen Savior who
is able to perform miracles!! I pray today you receive a miracle. You
continue to be wrapped in His arms, Mary Ann

I will
keep you and your beautiful son in my thoughts. I know what it is like
to be in your position. Waiting for good news, and being so scared. I
wasn't fortunate enough to keep my 2 little boys but God is merciful and
he will keep his hand on Ben. Take everyday with him and cherish it. God
will take care of you and him. Just remember his will be done.

Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and Ben, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very
difficult time. St. Jude's has always been close to my heart and Ben's
story has touched all who have read it. Trust in God and he will lead
the way.

A mixed
bag it is indeed. I am not even sure what to think. So much to adsorb.
So. . . I will continue doing what I know. That is praying and sending
support. Until you tell me differently. I have a since of relief on one
hand and deep conscern on the other. Hopefully this evening will be low
key and alot of resting will be happening. I still believe. I still
believe Ben isnt out of reach of that one magical mircle that can wipe
him clean and free from this. This is the hope I continue to hold on to
and pray for. Follow your heart as you are making these life changing
decisions. I pray you are guided in your decisions. Take care of
yourselves and "HE" will take care of the rest. Believing.

JUST TO
LET YOU KNKOW THAT YOU ALL ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. THE NEWS
TODAY COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT THEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.
REMEMBER THE SCRIPTURE THAT GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS (THINK IT IS
SOMEWHERE IN CORINTHIANS) "WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG." I KNOW YOU
ALL MUST BE EXPERIENCING THAT NOW. GOD'S STRENGTH. BIG BEN IS TRULY IN
GOD'S HANDS. WE DON'T KNOW THE EARTHLY OUTCOME, BUT WE DEFINITELY KNOW
THE HEAVELY OUTCOME. EITHER WAY, JESUS IS CARRYING YOU. WITH CHRISTIAN
LOVE AND CONCERN

Tom and
Jen, I guess the results weren't exactly what you were hoping for, but
certainly they could have been alot worse. Thank God that Ben's hearing
has not been affected by the chemo, and that the tumor has essentially
stopped growing, so the chemo HAS to be doing its work. We are not
giving up, but digging in! This isn't over by a long shot - no matter
what the scans say, or how bad the news can seem, God still has ultimate
control of the situation. We are still believing with you. Bill

Tom and
Jennifer: I just read Chuck Swindoll's book Encourage Me, here's a small
passage from page 39: For He Himself is our peace...(Ephesians 2:14) In
place of our exhaustion and spiritual fatigue, He will give us rest. All
He asks is that we come to Him...that we spend a while thinking about
Him, mediatating on Him, talking to Him, listening in silence, occupying
ourselves with Him - totally and thoroughly lost in the hidding place of
His presence. (This is me talking now) This is my prayer tonight for you
both. I pray for you to be totally lost in the hidding place of His
presence. Much christian love and concern for you all.

hey man,
we are still believing and still praying. i'm going to try to call you
guys tonight and check in on ya'll. it was good seeing you last weekend.
sorry we didn't get together while you were in. i think many people like
me thought that we didn't want to disturb you guys by calling you. i
didn't want to interupt anything. but now i am going to try to call
every couple of days so we can be better in touch and better informed on
what to pray for. God is my refuge and God is my strength, He is a very
present help in trouble. I love you guys and miss you all. In God's
arm's. Joshua and Lauren

Hey Guys-
Listen to the docs. In the world of brain tumors 2 mm is truly neglible.
(Max's dr. would call that basically no change in his tumors.) It must
mean that the treatment and prayers are having an effect on the tumor.
Please take care of yourselves. Ben needs you to do that. My heart is
with you, as are always my prayers. God is good. I believe -- without a
doubt.

Just
wanted you to know that I am believing with you that this is all in
God's hands and He is bigger than this. Keep the faith and keep holding
on to Big Ben. When you wrap your arms around him, he will feel God's
love through you. He has been such a warrior through all of this, and
I'm certain that this is another battle he will win in this war. You
have been blessed with a son that is stronger than anyone ever thought a
child of this age could be...what a blessing that Ben is always on his
game when the battle begins. I am continually amazed at his strength and
the strength of the two of you. God is definitely using you through this
and many lives are begin touched because of it. Keep the faith and keep
believing. In Christ, Angela

Tom &
Jennifer (Eli & Ben), I was disappointed to hear that Ben's tumor is
being so difficult to treat. God is still on the Throne and listening to
each prayer. I will continue to pray for healing. In the mean time, I
pray that Ben has continued strength to deal with the Chemo. Thank you
for keeping all of us updated! I will copy your latest update to the YFC
NSC. God bless! Mindy

The docs
are so right. It's the same here where I work, millimeters are "MILLI" -
insignificant. God is soooo much bigger than 2 millimeters! I know it is
not what we wanted to hear, but God is in control, I know you believe
that. We all BELIEVE

Hey Guys,
I'm sorry that the news wasn't better, but I am encouraged by Liz
Willhauer's comments about believing the doctors when they say the
growth isn't significant, since she has been there, too. Hang in there,
and know that we are believing and praying for you!
