after Monday because the boys Sunday nurse called off and the Monday one

Sounds
like coming home for a visit really agreed with Ben. I will be watching
the news tonite. Ben was walking. That is great. I bet Eli was excited
to be home as well. Regretfully I will not be seeing you guys this
afternoon. Alex and Cameron are running a fever and I am not sure why.
So to be sure we are keeping all our germs here. Know we think and pray

Jennifer - I was so moved tonight a church at the complete contrast in
the words that tell of Ben's illness and the "sparkle" in his eyes that
make it so unbelievable. I will continue to pray for Ben, but as I told
Jennifer, I will specifically ask God's protection on Ben from the
harmful effects from the chemo. You have an uphill climb, as you know,
but please remember, people you do not (and probably will never) know
are praying for you each day.

Dear
Bowens, We are praying for you all. We were at church (River Cities)
this morning and had the great opportunity to hear your testimony.
Please know that not only me, Larry, Jessica and Matt (Jessic'a new
husband!) and Michael are all praying for you but also much of our
extended family are doing the same. Ben is a precious little one. I
think so often about the time I shared with you and getting to see him
with his precious family at the Y pool before all this started and
thinking how wonderful Tom and Jennifer are with their kids and how I
wish all children had that kind of Godly loving family in their lives.
My thoughts have not changed I'm so glad both your boys have such a
loving family and would want every child to have that much love in their
life as your children do. May God bless you and may He grant a "yes" to

After
seeing Ben at church I couldn't help but see what an angel he is. All of
my prayers are with you guys as this difficult time is about to come. I
hope God blesses you with the life of your baby but if not I can only
imagine the smile on God's face when Ben comes home to Him. Whether Ben

Jennifer: Checked the guestbook and it sounds like your home visit was
filled with the blessings of lots of love, previous moments, and
strength. May you continue to be lifted up in these days. Remember the
centurion who sought Jesus and said he was not worthy that Jesus should
come under his roof but told him to 'speak the word only' and his
servant would be healed.' He went on to say that he was a man under
authority with soldiers under him and he had but to say go, come, or do
and they obeyed him. Jesus said he had not found so great faith in
Israel. I feel down in my spirit that this is the kind of faith that you
have. Remember the rest of the story as Paul Harvey would say? Jesus
told him to go his way, as he had believed, so be it done and his
servant was healed in the same hour. He's the same now as then, we can
petition him now as this centurion did then and he will answer. Our
pastor often says that praise precedes the victory. So I'll add my voice
- this is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and

I have
been wanting to write for several weeks now as I sit in church and watch
what you all are going through. My old roomate works at St. Mary's and
was there in the beginning of your trial. Her name is Natalie Hill. You
have come such a long way. As I came to church on Sunday I was thinking
of Ben, as I often do, and was touched to get to see him that very
morning. Your witness has been amazing as you are touching lives of
people who you may never even get to meet. I feel like a part of your
family as I have been praying with you this entire time. I know that God
is using all of this for His glory, although it seems unfair I'm sure. I
told of your story to my co-workers as we ordered pizza from Papa John's
one Tuesday afternoon. I am a graduate from MU with a biology degree-med
school bound-and I have witnessed first hand many children with cancer.
I am overwhelmed with their strength and I know that Ben must be very
strong as well. Children amaze physicians daily. We will endure it as

I just
want you to know that I am soo happy that little ben is getting to enjoy
some time at home with all his toys and a familar environment for him. I
wanted to come and meet you all and see little ben because I feel so
close to you all now but I know that this wasn't the case. So I said a
little prayer for him in church yesterday and I thought about you all.
But I didn't come because I knew that I didn't know you and that you all
didn't know me. I just have been keeping up with this wonderful lil
child and feel so close to you all, I just thought that you should know
that. Also know that your family and ben are in my prayers everyday... I
look forward to coming to work and sitting down and reading your update
just knowing that he is happy and cheerful is enough to make me have a
