Hi little
Ben: So happy to hear that you were able to go home for a visit this
week....know everyone must have been excited to see you. We drove down
to St. Jude's last week with little Taylor's "Aunt Sally", and she took
the best pictures of you and Taylor for us. I plan to put one of the
pictures up on our church's bulletin board.....our "church family" is
praying constantly for both of you, and I know they will be happy to see
your pictures. We got to visit with Taylor and her Mommy, Mimi, and
Granddad, and we were amazed at all she was re-learning to do
again.....she's a real trooper, just like you. Just wish we had gotten
to meet you and your Mommy and Daddy in person too. Will continue
praying for our Heavenly Father to bless and heal you. With love and

Dear
Bowen Family, I first learned of your story two months ago. As a new
mother of a baby boy it touched my heart. Ben is on our prayer list in
our Ladies Circle. I have wondered how he is doing and then I say the
news story. I couldn't believe how good he looked. I was so glad he got

name is Emily Kaiden and she works hard for St. Jude Children Research.

What a
blessing it was to have seen Ben, to visit with you, Tom and Jennifer,
and meet the very personable Eli. It was a joy to see and to hear of the
fingerprints of God on your lives – it was beyond encouraging to look
into Ben’s bright eyes, to see his smile, and hear his adorable,
infectious laughter. We rejoiced to see no despair evident in the life
of the your family – only hope – Oh, there was the awareness of sadness
as you recalled certain things, but the sadness does not envelop you,
the negative aspects and nature of the disease do not control you, for
you are (and it is evident), controlled by something – someone greater –
the only one that can bring such hope – such obvious peace – such
evident joy in the midst of the storm – You are carried, held, and
noticeably empowered by God. Perhaps Abigail said it best as we were
driving away from the restaurant: “Mom – I knew it was important before
to pray for them – but now that I’ve met them I want to pray for them –

this is a
follow up or completion of the previous entry we made that got cut off
(sorry) ... Perhaps Abigail said it best as we were driving away from
the restaurant: “Mom – I knew it was important before to pray for them –
but now that I’ve met them I want to pray for them – I want to be with
them …” I suppose that is a bit of what we were all feeling as we drove
home in silence – our minds and hearts humbled by the blessing – the
experience we had just been given. Our hearts, our lives – are forever
changed, having met you just once; and we are aptly reminded a fresh of
the proper perspective of ‘life’ and its daily ‘battles’ … Forever
grateful and continuing to pray and believe -- 'One day at a time' --

It's so
awesome that you guys have gotten to come home for a little while. I'm
just sorry that we didn't get to come out to the farm on Sunday. I'm

Jennifer, Hi, I do not know if you remember me but I grew up across the
street from Jennifer until I was 11, and I knew Tom when I participated
in Campus Life at Huntington East. I was at my Vet over the weekend and
saw that they were taking donations for a baby named Ben and when I read
the materials I realized that he was your little boy. I would just like
you know that I will keep Ben in my prayers and wish you all of you the
best of luck in this journey. You were both a part of my childhood and
helped in part to shape me into the person I am today, and because of
this I know that have to be wonderful parents and if anybody has the
faith to get through you do!

Hey guys.
I just want to echo Ally's and Adams sentiments about our great dinner
Monday night, and how wonderful it was to see the mighty warrior, Big
Ben, in person. Not only is he, but the whole family, an inspiration. We
know you are facing some mighty dark clouds of uncertainty in the next
couple of weeks and months. I know it is much easier to say than do, but
remember God is in control, He didn't bring Ben and his family this far
to abandon him. If you can find them, two songs to listen to: "God Is In
Control", by Twila Paris and "Be Still and Know that He is God", by
Steven Curtis Chapman. Don't worry about the stuff with your house - it
WILL get taken care of. Trust me. We love you guys.

Dear
Bowen's, It was so wonderful to see all of you at church on Sunday. The
"bandaid" illustration that you did with the children was incredible and
how true to our life and our relationship with Christ. He so often fixes
us with his bandaids. I had surgery this past Monday and I shared with
my doctor that I am so thankful to know Ben Bowen's story because God
has used Ben's story in my life to see that no matter what we go through
God is in control. As I was going to sleep in surgery I was praying for
Ben and I am so thankful that God has put him on my heart and not
allowed me to selfishly think of myself but to focus on this beautiful
little boy who God is healing even as I was praying. I just want to say
thank you for sharing your son's life with your family at RCCC as well
as everyone around the world. I pray this will be a good week for Ben

received a prayer e-mail chain for your son Ben. I am touched by your
strength and Faith in God. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with a Non-
secreting , non-cancerous brain tumor, in the infundibulim. Through
fervrant prayer from friends , family and my awesome church. I can say
that the prayers were answered. last month I had a MRI and the tumor is
Gone, God is a merciful God, and prayer will not return void. So I will
