As I
watched your story again tonight on the 11:00 news. I had to smile.
Watching Ben and his so fascinated with the pockets in his pants. He is
so cute. Such a big guy. As you probably noticed I check in on you guys
daily and pass along your updates to other to rally in the prayers for
your family. Hospice. That is a word no one wants to hear. But as all
the people Ben as interacted with they are there for him and your
family. Signing a DNR would be hard in any case. Unthinkable for a
child. My heart aches for you all. But is warmed but he love and times
you are able to have today. And hopefully tomorrow will be even better.
I hope you are able to go to see Mickey in November. If you cant. We
might have to kidnap Mickey. No project is too big to make Ben smile. I
check on your St. Jude friends and pray for them as well. No friend of
Bens will be left out. Stay strong. Know you are loved and prayed for

I am so
very sorry to hear about your precious Ben. I have a little boy named
Tyler that is 19 months old and your story really hit home with me. I
cried during the news cast and had to get out of bed to read more. I
don't have much money but I did win a 3 day 2 night accomadation package
to Orlando or other places. If this would be of any interest to you, I
would be glad to send it to you to help on your trip to Disney World.

Ben, you
are so sweet! You parents are so blessed to have you in their lives and
I can tell that they love you very much. Your story has touched my life
and my family and church will be praying for a miracle to happen in your
life. I have 2 little boys and a baby girl who lost their pappaw to
cancer. He is in heaven. If it is in God's will for you to go to heaven,

Jennifer, Eli, and Ben I have heard of your story for a while now;
however, I am ashamed that this is the first time that I have taken the
time to write you a note. I could make up many excuses as to why I din't
take the time to let you know we were praying for all of you; however,
honestly I didn't know if anything we had to share whould be able to
lift your spirits or not. Your story tonight on WSAZ touched me in a
profound way. We sometimes get so overloaded with things that are going
on in our own lives that we tend to forget that there are people just
like us dealing with bigger issues that we have ever imagined. Andy and
I have a precious little boy who is 20 months and even though he is fast
asleep, I can promise you that when I go upstairs tonight, I will get
him out of his crib and hold him and thank God for the precious gift

husband and I watched the news tonight and it was the first time we had
heard of your precious Ben. Our hearts ached for you and your family. We
are the parents of three small boys , we can only imagine what you have

I just
wanted you and your family to know, after watching your story tonight, I
went in and looked at all three of my boys. I told them how much I loved
them and hugged and kissed them good night. They where asleep, but I did
not care. I cried during the news story about your son. I immediately
went to my computer and looked at your entire page. You have done a
wonderful thing for that little boy sharing and showing his unbreakable
spirit. The song was a beautiful thing that breaks my heart as a mother.
I pray for your family and I will every night. Your oldest son will
always have wonderful things to see and remember. I encourage you to
look for other options as slim as they may be! It may be the one thing
that works. There is an excellent children's hospital in Alabama. I have
a 2, 8, and 10 yeaar old. I will make sure every night I tell them I
love them and give them the biggest hug. I just want your family to know
that if you need anything, my family and I would love to help you in any

Continued..... as I was saying, I also praise God for being there to
carry you though this ordeal. By sharing your story you have given me a
clear prospective of what my priorities should be. No longer does it
matter that there are dirty clothes in the hammper or dishes in the
sink, what matters is that I am taking time to spend with my precious
son. Thank you so much for sharing yourselves, Ben and Eli with the rest
of the world. I truly beleive that God has a special plan for Precious
Big Ben. Sometimes we don't understand why certain things happen;
however we should have peace regardless of the circumstances because we

Bowen family! I am not sure where I have been to not know your story but
tonight at 1 am I am reading it for the first time. I have to leave for
Cincinnati Children's at 7 am with my son, not sure why I am up at this
crazy hour. My sister told me to go to WSAZ and read Ben's story. I
ended up reading Ben and Hanna's story. I want to help. Please let me
know what I can do. I am also a nursing student at OU in Ironton, if
there is something we can do, sit with the boys if you need time out, or
to just be an ear, please contact me, I know that myself or some of the
other students would love to help out. Your story is so sad in many ways
but such a blessing. I know God is working and I pray and believe in

Dear
Bowens, I have been reading your site for several months now and never
cease to be amazed by your strong faith. You are a true inspiration to
those of us reading to trust in the Lord ALWAYS and to love and
appreciate our kids more. My 3 year daughter is riding in a St. Jude's
Bike-A-Thon this morning. She has been coming on the sites with me to
pray for the Minden kids at St. Jude's, and wanted to "get some money to
make them better." I pray that the Lord's will be done in your lives and
