Bowens I first became aware of your story watching WSAZ several months
ago and have visited your website often to check on Ben's story. I am
praying for your family. Words seem very shallow at a time when your
heart is heavy, but so many care for you who will never meet you.I think
we pray so fervently for you because we know how much we love our
children. I have kept the words you shared with us about your boys "take
it one day at a time, love others and rest knowing you are loved".

I saw the
television spot last evening on WSAZ. What a very caring voice over by
Penny Moss. Tom's observation "one month we are trying to figure out
what color carpet to put into the family room and the next month Ben is
diagnosed with the brain tumor" puts everything into perspective.

Family! I just wanted to say that I check the update on Big Ben every
day and my prayers are with you. In the few times I met your family at
St. Jude this summer during the Volunteen program, your presence and
story has impacted my life so much that I can't even explain. Your
strength and belief in God is so admirable that you made me a much
stronger believer...and I wanted to thank you. Having the chance to meet
and play with Ben and Eli was truly a gift that I will never

Ben Reed is my cousin and I've been following your sons story as long as
I can remember. I am saddened by the fact that there is nothing the
doctors can do. But I know GOD will give these children the ultimate
healing somehow so they won't have to suffer anymore.Continue to let God
take care of this for you. He knows whats best. I will continue to pray

husband and I were at the 9AM service last Sunday. It was so good to see
your beautiful family together and your words were very moving. Daily I
visit the site, and am so in awe of your steadfast faith and spirit. I
can't begin to imagine the lives that are being/and have been changed
through watching the events unfold the past eight/nine months, and

Hello, I
am a firefighter in south Florida and I come in contact with sick
children often. It is particularly hard to understand why these little
"Angels" can be stricken as they are. I came across Ben's story in the
Herald online and since I am a native of Huntington it really touched
me. My prayers are with you and your entire family throughout your
ordeal. I wish there was a way I could give Ben a ride on my firetruck,
I would love to see him smile from ear to ear! God be with you Ben and

Jennifer, I'm not sure if you have ever been told about us, but our
stories are very much alike. Our son Andrew(Drew), was a patient at
St.Jude 10 years ago. He had a form of AML. He was diagnosed at 22
months old. We had 11 mo. with Drew thanks to St. Jude. If Drew had
survived he would have celebrated his 13th birthday this year on Oct.
12. We know the Manns family and I(Robin)work in the cafe' in Carolyn's
gallery. I talked with her today about you all and Ben after we saw your
story on WSAZ last night. We want to help you all....but realize we
don't want to hinder you, either. We unlike so many do really understand
what you're living and facing day-to-day. We are offering our
support,prayers,and love as fellow parents...especially St. Jude
parents. There's so much I'd like to say but this isn't the way to do
it. If you feel you would like to meet and/or talk with us Carolyn Manns
knows how to get in touch with us as well as Michael. Please know you
all are in our every prayer!!!! We too are praying

My heart
goes out to you all,for i haa a child that battled a choildhood
cancer"wilms' tumor' she was only 3 months old when diagnosed, she is

It was
wonderful to see you all! It is difficult to understand how much Ben has
been through when you see that wonderful smile and hear that small
voice. Except for being less energetic, he seemed like any wonderful 2
year old. Eli was great. It is heartwarming to visit and to have him so
accepting, even though he doesn't really know us. Reading to both of
them was a joy which we carried home. Jennifer and Tom- thank you for

Dear
Bowens, We met you briefly at the Easter egg hunt at Target House last
April. We were in Memphis from September of last year until our son
Steven finished treatment in May for a supratentorial PNET brain tumor.
We understand the feeling of having been disconnected from your safety
net after you leave St. Jude. We believe, as you do, that it is possible
for Ben to be healed. There are longterm survivors of ATRT out there.
Your faith is an inspiration to all and we want you to know that Ben
Bowen is in my own dear son Steven's prayers each night. Stay strong,

My
prayers are with the whole family. Ben seems to be a tough fighter. I
lost my mom to cancer almost four years ago and while i have lost
several family members to Cancer it is very hard to have such a young
one that has to deal with the thoughts of cancer. I will keep Ben in my
prayers.
