Jennifer,
Tom, Ben and Eli, I so loved getting my picture of Ben when I returned
to work on Thursday! I hate that I didn't get to see Ben on his last day
here at St. Jude. It was my honor and very special privilege to be a

and Jennifer... I know that there will be heartache in meeting with the
hospice nurse tomorrow. You will especially be in my prayers. Praying
too that God provides you just the special angel you need in that nurse

Dear Ben
and Family, My name is Lori Wallin and my son and I are staying at the
Grizzlies House to participate in an experimental study. I check on your
site to see how Ben is doing everyday. You all are definately an
inspiration and I wish you the best of luck during these hard times. My
11yr old son, Brad, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on October 21, 2003
and unfortunatly had to have his left leg amputated. He has gone through
two lung surgeries to remove tumor but have found that they have grown,
so we pray that this study will help him live a happy life. This is what
St. Jude is for, right? Miracles Happen!! Good Luck to you all and hope

Bowens.... I'm so glad you all made it home safe and sound....Well once
again our plans to meet up won't be happening....We are indeed still at
Cabell but due to Bens and Jophies counts being so low it would be
absolutely crazy and life threatening to both boys....We are locked up
in respiratory and neutropenia isolation in a positive pressure room SO,
it seems we will have to chat via phone or email and hopefully one day
we will actually get to meet up in person....~~winks~~...Praying that
all goes well with hospice and you get the house all straightened up and
back in order.....Hug and kiss both Ben and Eli from us...Please check
your email.....Will check back in soon....All our love,....Trina(Forever

Jennifer, Tom, Eli, and Ben. I have been following your story from just
about the begining I guess. Trina, the mother of Jophie and Jamie, is a
friend of mine. Most of the time I want to write in your guest book and
just don't know how to word things. I too had a sick child 24 years ago.
Not cancer but neurological and scary for me. For some reason, still
unkown to me my son was granted a miracle healing by God at the age of 9
months. He has been fine ever since and has never had the same problem
again. I have always felt led to pray for miracle healings for children
since I myself have experienced the full on power of God's love in this
way. I know in my heart it wasn't anything I did or didn't do that
caused him to be healed. It was God's decision. I want you to know I
have been praying for Ben daily. He is so precious in God's site. I know
in your hearts you will accept whatever decision God makes for Ben's
future. Your faith is very strong and your hearts are right for God.

hello, i
haven't written in awhile because i just couldn't find the words to say,
but i read your journal everynight and i pray for ben and you everyday.
your little boy has touched my life like no-one else has. i has passed
your web site on to my entire family and they all read it frequently. i
understand that ben's story has touched so many lives but i will always
continue to pray that he is a miracle and that god will cure him
completely. his smile and personality is one of a kind and diffinitly a
gift from god. i can only imagine the feelings you are having about
leaving st. judes but i am glad ben is in his home and can lead somewhat
of a normal life in a place he is comfortable. my prayers are with you
always please give ben a kiss from me and a hug. i love the pictures of
the boys and look forward to seeing some new ones once you get settled.

How we
all long to be "doing" something -- your journal entry tonight captures
the difficultly of the new life you have at home. After the boxes are
unpacked, you are called to just "be still." You are called to savor
every moment as a family, to drink in each experience ... the "doing"
somehow allows us as humans to feel some sort of power or control. It is
no mistake that God commands us to "be still and know that I am God" --
it is so hard to do. Praying that God gives you strength to "be still."

Praying is the least I can do. For such a little person Ben has done a

My heart
is so full with thoughts and love for you all. I am not exactly sure of
how to express it all. There is so much truth in your words. I am but
one who has been forever changed by God through you all. I want so much
