Just a
thought I wanted to share...at times in my life I have wondered why
Jesus had to die to save us...why God didn't use another means to enable
us to come to Him without His son having to suffer. There is something
that just seems so wrong and incomprehensible about a child having to
fight for their life. I ache for the emotions I can only imagine you are
feeling. I don't mean this to sound trite, but just am reminded that
God, like you, watched His Son suffer. I am reminded that there is no
feeling or thought or emotion you have that is unknown or not understood
by the Lord. He is absolutely with you, absolutely in control, and even
in His glory and power I believe shares your tears over what Ben - and
your family - are facing. When you are weak - He is so, so strong. He
loves you beyond measure and is meeting you right where you are. You are
not alone. With love.

Hi guys,
Welcome home! I keep feeling in my spirit that this is the time that God
is going to act. Now, when everyone in this world has given all they
have to offer. Now we can stand back and watch "the Master" at work!
This past year has brought many changes in my life. Some better, some
not so good. I have loved the Lord throughout. But He likes us to
stretch our faith further and further. And just when we feel like we are
the taut rubberband, ready to snap, He graciously moves in and lets us
stretch further. Remember, we're all believing with you. Give the guys a

Hello my
name is Mary Gardner. I am baby Zane's mom. I would like to say that my
son passed away on Sept. 26, 2004. He turned 11 months old the day
before. When my son passed away I thanked God for healing my son. That
is all that I ever wanted for Zane, was to be healed, and that is what
God did. I pray for your family and Ben. I pray that he makes it
through. i now have a special guardian angel and I always will. I am
proud of my son for all that he has been through. I can tell that you

Ben's family, You probably don't know who I am, but I will explain this
to you. My cousin Erin Bettenhausen from Columbus, NE has the same tumor
problem that Ben has or had. I seen this link on Erin's website and I
thought I recognized the name Ben from somewhere and found it in my
portrates of hope book from St Jude hosp. Anyway I wish you all the luck
and I am praying for families like you and you also. Please pray for
Erin she is not doing very well for they found another tumor. Best

Family, I have visited your site many times, but never know what to say.
My daughter was dx with a brain tumour September 2002 and we prayed and
hoped that we as a family we would be able to cope with anything and
everything that was going to be thrown our way. Our prayers were
answered and 10 days later we were at home, totally amazed. Bianca's
brain tumour was removed in total by surgery. She had no chemo or
radiation. Two years later, she is a typical 4 year old girl with only a
VP Shunt and a few scars to show of what she has been through. My
prayers are with you all - you all are so strong. Bianca is praying for
Ben and Eli and she has sent a pray to Hanna. God Bless. Pip

myself rushing home from work everyday to read Ben's story. You're
family (I can't even think of a word to describe your family). You're
amazing to me. Your words beautifully spoken, your pain felt by everyone
who reads your passages. But your Strength. You have such strength.
You're an inspiration to all your readers. Ben's story is almost like a
novel, he's an addictive little boy. And so handsome. He's endured so
much in his young life and he looks so content and happy. You can tell

entry yesterday really touch me, to be honest i have been touched by
everything you have had to say and do for ben. I wanted to tell you that
i lost a little cousin about 10 years ago to a rare blood disease. I in
my mind at the time couldnt find anyone to tell me why god does what he
does. Why he gives us something and then takes it away so early, but
thanks to you this summer i have been able to forgive my self for
turning my back on him all those years ago. I actually got back into
church last year. but i still had questions as to why? but you have
given me the faith to see what was always being said. He knows the
reason, and we are to believe in him and not question what he does, for
he knows what he has planned for us. I dont think God is through with
ben yet. He is going to keep using this young man and I believe that in
a few years you and ben will look back at this and see again what a
great purpose god had for ben.
