your story Ben and I was touched. So moved in fact that all I could do
was sit at my cubicle at work and cry. God loves us all and he has a
special angel watching over you...your Father. He sent you a Father and

I found
this website through another St.Jude patient. I started reading about
these little kids when a friend of mine lost his sister to cancer. I
just wanted to let you know that this story has touched my life in
several ways. As I was reading the update for today I was reminded of a
song that is sung at my church. I can't remember the name but in it says
something along the lines of when you feel like you drowning and barely
treading water broken pieces of the boat will come by for you to hold on
to. I am praying for Ben as well as his family. May God Bless richly

Someone
sent this to me today and I thought of you: The only survivor of a
shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed
feverishly for GOD to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon
for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed
to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect himself from the
elements, and to store his few possessions. One day, after scavenging
for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke
rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, and everything was lost.
He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. "GOD, how could you do
this to me?" he cried. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound
of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.
"How did you know I was here?" Asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We
saw your smoke signal," they replied. It's easy to get discouraged when
things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because GOD is at

Precious Ben and his courageous family: I have been following your
website daily for months. I am continually amazed at how God has blessed
your lives on so many levels. Through your tragedy others, like myself,

firebirds who's life you have touched in many different ways. There is
honestly not a day that has gone by, since the first day i met you and
your family, that i have NOT had something that didn't make me remember

Jennifer, I look forward each day to reading your journal entries. The
steadfastness of your faith is truly an example to us all. You are all
heroes. I really think that at some point in the future when the time is
right that you should consider putting all these thoughts together in a
book. I know I would love to have a book like that and I am confident
many others would also. About the church service on Sunday--will it be
possible to purchase a video tape or even an audiotape of the service? I
cannot be there, of course, because of distance but would love to share
in it. If you have not thought of taping it, please give it a thought
for those of us around the country who would like to hear the story and
worship with you all. Again, I praise God for the many blessings we can
find in Ben's story and in Hanna's story. It is so hard when we are in
the middle of the story to remember God's picture but I constantly am
thankful that I know He is in control, that He has a plan and that He
