My heart
is broken for you guys as you leave. I know that it is tough... you may
feel like you are giving up, but God isn't. I am so glad that you find
your comfort in Him! Blessings on you as you travel home and settle down

I am so
glad you guys are still posting updates and sharing your journey. It
means so much to so many of us out here praying for you. Today I passed
along a bit of the text from your most recent update about God's plan to
a co-worker who is going through a rough time, and she appreciated it.

Morning Bowens! This is the day. It's the day you've longed for & feared
at the same time. What an incredibly emotional day for you & those whose
lives you've touched, who've gained strength from your gentle spirits &
loving words, whose spirits have lifted at your very presence, whose
hearts have found comfort & hope in your steady faith in God & all who
have seen Jesus reflected in your every word & deed. This is also the
day the Lord has made,we will rejoice & be glad in it. God's mighty hand
continues to cover Ben, we continue to believe a miracle is just a
prayer away & while we stand in faith for healing, our hearts tell us
that many miracles have happened in your time at St. Judes. Bodies may
have not been healed, but countless spirits were, hearts were mended, &
faith was renewed all because Tom & Jennifer Bowen were willing vessels,
were not ashamed of the gospel, & walked in faith each day, no matter
where the path took them. May God bless you richly today with peace.

treatment and up until his counts were higher, my parents actually had a
sign on their front door that stated If you are sick or think you may be

checked on Ben each day. I am a friend of the family of Cole Walker and
they keep me up to date on you also. I pray that you have a safe trip

bittersweet relief your going home. It was a call that my husband and I
had to make as well. Treatment for our daughter Erin was not successful
either. We treasure everyday with her in the comfort of our own home.

I know
you don't know me and we have never met but I heard of your "story"
through friends who work at the Marshall University concessions. I have

I am torn
on how I feel about what's going on for Ben right now. I HATE that the
treatment plan laid out for Ben did not work. On the other hand I am so
excited for you all that you get to return home. Nothing beats sleeping
in your own bed under your own roof. I look for comfort in God. I know
that all of this is part of His great big plan it's just so hard not
knowing what lies ahead in His plan. I will continue my prayers for Ben
and family.

praising God that Ben has completed his radiation and will now be able
to enjoy life with his family! Although we would love to see you guys
face to face, we believe that each moment you are able to spend as a
family is a treasured memory in process. We promise to continue to
support you in prayer daily, but we will also avoid direct
contact---contracting a virus or infection gives little or no advance
notice. It's too late once the fever and/or other symptoms present. Just
remember that we love you guys and will, of course, spend eternity
