Barry shared your thoughts and wishes with our congregation (UMBC) this
morning. We will gladly join you in praising God and in thanking Him for
the lives of you four. We thank God that He's brought your family into
ours and for the privilege of sharing this journey with you. The four of
you have so far had an incredible ministry to thousands because you are
faithful in surrendering each moment to Him. We don't know you by seeing
you face-to-face; however we share that special and eternal bond of
being children of the King. We don't understand God's plans and
purposes, but we are certain of His promises---one of the best is that
we will spend eternity with Him and with one another. How we yearn for
that time to come! We are asking God to surround you with His love in
all it's forms for you as husband and wife, as parents and sons, and as

Bowens......Still praying for sweet Ben. So sorry I haven't been by like
I usually do but Jophie is quite ill and we are still at Cabell...Please
know you all are always in my thoughts and prayers....We ended up here
before I got a chance to check my emails on my home computer and I as
wondering if you got the 2 boxes for the boys?....If not I have the name
of the person who signed for them at home.....I'm thinking it was a
person at the managers desk possibly??...I think the name started with a
C...I'm sorry I just can't remember right now...Will check back when I

Sounds

I have
had the Fine pleasure of meeting lil Ben and his family when they came
to eat at IHOP this morning. Ben was/is so alert and wide eyed... taking
in all around him and the glow of attention haloed about his bright
young face. He is a handsome boy with the courage and strength of a
lion. I offer prayer and strength to his family and nursing staff of st
Judes Hospital. Always entrust in the Lord and he shall deliver you. I
pray Ben recovers and grows to become a bright young man who
accomplishes his goals and lives his dreams. Remember everything happens
for a reason, even if we can't see it at the time ~smiles~ My heart goes
out to Hanna's family... and my prayers are with you ! Be strong Ben

our 3-mo old grandson on July 27 to HLH - another rare and ugly disease

Wanted to
let you know I am still believing and still praying for God's healing
hand and sustenance for all of you. I feel for you guys....knowing that
it has to be so hard to balance Eli's needs....each other's
needs....and, of course, Ben's needs. It's truly remarkable how God
steps in and meets them all in ways we know nothing about....I am

Dear
precious little Ben, I just heard about your story this past Sunday at
church. I attend Union Missionary Baptist Church and I am now in my
second year at Marshall University. I am praying for you everyday. I
have been through something just like you with my father. My father is
forty two years old and has had two lung transplants. Our family has
been through so much these past couple of years. My father was in the
hospital for six months with the first transplant and had many
difficulties. But with his second transplant God truly blessed us and he
was sent home in one month. I know that the medicine is really expensive
but God will truly bless you for your faithfulness. I know that he has
truly blessed us and is still blessing is for our faithfulness. Love and

tom and jen, i will never ever pretend to even understand why God has
allowed all of the things that have happened to transpire. i know that
He is God and that He could reveal Himself in the most blatant, awesome,
wonderful ways if He so desired. i also know that Moses couldn't bare to
look on God when He revealed the tiniest portion of Himself. If Moses
had seen any more, he would have died. but as i begin to prepare for the
praise service for Ben and you guys, it is so blatantly obvious,
wonderful and awesome how our Father is right in the midst of it all. i
don't understand that, but i also know that He wants to protect us, He
wants to hide us in the cleft, see our faces and show us a portion of
Himself that we have never ever seen. i'm looking and i know you guys
are too! love you guys!
