To the
Bowen Family: I have been reading the updates and all about Big Ben for
a long time, but have hesitated to write because I want to say something
profound, something to make it all better and I realize I can't do that,
all I can do is pray, and I am doing that, when I read the updates and
his story, I am so overwhelmed by the faith and the love for God that
you have. i is truly awesome to see such faith in the face of such
tragedy, not just your own, but those around you that you have come to
love. At first whe I started reading about Big Ben, I thought and
questioned God, how an you let things like this happen! After much
thought, something as brought to my mind that I heard from a pastor many
years ago--he was with someone in a children's hospital with terminally
ill children everywhere and the person he was with said how can we
worship a God that would do this to little children and the pastor
questioned God within himself and asked the same thing, how can you let
this happen to little children and God quietly spoke to th

Sorry to
be so long-winded, but the pastor heard God quietly speaking to him and
saying, how can you have anything to do with an enemy (Satan) that would
do such a horrible thing to little children, what a powerful thought and
a reminder that God is on our side and Grace does happen. I know I
haven't said anything profound, but know that you are in my prayers
every day and there is never a place to give up! I am In His Grip, Karen

I am so
sorry to hear about your little warrior Ben. Don't stop believe in Gods
goods and grace,I know it is very hard at this time for this family you
will always have your Big Ben's memorys and all the beautiful moments
that he bought to this family throught the grace of God and all the
friends that you meet through Big Ben journey will never be forgotten. I
believe God is not done with this spiritial family he will show you the
way. Keep believe in Gods son Jesus Christ and he will bless this family
for ever. Please read Matthew, chapter 11 verses 28-30. and God will be
with this family he will never leave his childen that is a witness to
his name. Keep believeing in Christ and he will see you through these
hard days ahead. I will be praying for this family. Pam.

My
thought and prayer are with you. Just remember that God is the one to
have the final say in any situation. You tell Ben that he is a very
brave and strong child. PRAY and never give up hope because miracle
happen every day. I was told several times that my mother was not going
to come out of intensive care and I need to prepare my family but she
did come out and the only explanation that the hopital personel could
give me was the power of pray. God took her when he was ready and
nothing the hospital said or did had anything to do with (4 years
later). So remember Pray everyday and pray often because he is listening
and will answer your prayer when he feels the time is right. I will
forward this web site because every prayer is heard. Hang in there

I KNOW
THAT YOU ARE ALL TRIED AND DOWN HEARTED.. BUT KNOW THAT WE ARE PRAYING
FOR YOU ALL.. THE WORD SAYS HE KNOWS US WHEN WE ARE IN THE WOMB.. HE
KNEW BEN AND HE ALREADY HAD A BLUE PRINT OF HIS LIFE AND WHAT HE WANTED
HIM TO DO WITH IT YET. SOMETIMES IT ISN'T ALWAYS WHAT WE WANT... BUT
SOMETIMES IT IS!! PLEASE KNOW THAT WE ARE PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE... BUT
ALWAYS KNOW HIS PLAN IS ALSO ALWAYS PERFECT.. "WHEN YOU CAN'T TRACE HIS
HAND...TRUST HIS HEART"

I just
came in from outside it is a muggy and really humid night. The kind of
nights that you wish it would rain to wash away the heaviness in the
air. I wish there was a rain or something that could wash away the
heaviness in your lives. I pray and I do believe. But I don’t understand
how it can be right. Miracles happen everyday. I am holding out on Bens.
I know you guys are busy and are exhausted. I hope this guestbook is
helping you guys find strength. I read other peoples entries. They are
amazing. No matter there race, religion, age or sex. The out come is the
same. Loving and praying for you all. Reminding you that your aren’t
alone praying like crazy for Ben. We all are. Your journey is like
tonight’s weather. You need a good rain to wash away the heaviness, and
breathe the clean air. Your faith and trust in God can bring it. Sleep
well sweet Ben and family. May tomorrow be better then today. A step
closer to your miracle. Believing with you.

I want to
encourage you and let you know you continually are in our thoughts and
prayers. We know what it's like to have to make quick decisions that
have so much impact on your son's life, but we continue to see God's
grace in abundance in your abilities. I know you are completely drained
physically, mentally and emotionally, yet in times such as these, God's
grace and God's strength and provision are always there to carry us
through. Sometimes we don't always recognize it at the time, but it is
there. We continue to pray for Ben's miracle, and also for your peace
and strength. May God continue to show His mighty and outstretched hand
in Ben and your lives.

My son
Steven was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a supratentorial PNET last
September, and is a patient at St. Jude. I haven't had the opportunity
to meet you personally, but I saw you when you were staying at Target
House and I've seen you, Ben, and Eli at E clinic in St. Jude. I've
followed Ben's story and I'm saddened to hear the latest developments,
while being inspired by the strength and faith of your family. Ben is in
our nightly prayers, we are praying for his healing, for his doctors to
make the best decisions regarding his care, and for peace and strength
for the rest of the family. Please know that you are not alone.

Hey guys.
I am home. I just checked in to read the latest news and I can't even
begin to express how sad I am. All along I had hoped this hard journey
would have a happier ending. All your friends are here waiting to hear
how they can help. The minute you get home I'm sure you'll be completely
overwhelmed with kindness and caring. I will lead the stampede! Love,
Mel

Ben is on
our prayer list on our refrigerator. Our prayers are with him and your
precious family. Your story is heartbreaking, yet your courage is
remarkable. God is the God of miracles. When my dad was very ill with
cancer, and we were traveling back to Huntington, I asked God to show me
something positive. We passed a car with a license plate taped in the
rear window that read, MIRACLES HAPPEN. A miracle did happen where the
cancer was healed, thus the Lord gave us my dad for another year.
Miracles do happen, and that is our prayer. Love, The Hammond's

I checked
on Ben, and before the page pulled up I had this terrible feeling and
felt really sad, well I am happy to say it wasn't what I was thinking
but very saddened to hear the latest news. I check on Ben oftne just
don't always have the time to sign the book and I apologize for that. I
want little Ben to know that I am trying to find my way back to Jesus
and to hvae him in my l;ife and I think you and your family are
responsible for this. I see the faith you have day after day no matter
how the news is and yet you still believe. I recently purchased a cd for
the kids and one of the songs is I see the moon. "I see the moon and the
moon sees me God Bless the moon and God Bless me Please let the light
that shines on me shine on the one I love" My kids love it and it just
makes me think of sweet little innocent Ben and I know God will take
care of you and your family. Keep the faith Miracles do happen!! God
will provide!
