Dearest
family, I just heard about your web site last Thursday and sat down and
read Ben's story since the beginning. My heart is so heavy for you at
this time. I do know some of how you might feel. We lost our son with
leukemia 11 days before his first birthday when when we were younger.
Almost 5 years ago we found that our daughter that had just graduated
from high school had a large brain tumor. Within 7 months she had 4
brain surgeries and I lost both of my parents. God's grace IS sufficient
and that is a promise to us. I do feel that I have learned that I need
to appropriate that grace into my life each moment OR I can decide that
I don't want to trust God and turn bitter. Remember what you've been
told, "God is good ALL the time", even if He doesn't answer our prayers
the way we think He should! It's hard for us to think that God loves Ben
more that you two, but remember He does and He knows the beginning and

A.M. here and God has awakened us to pray for you guys. We are praying
that God will make Ben comfortable and give him the strength he needs
this week. Eli is with us in our hearts wherever we go throughout the
day---what a huge burden such a young boy is carrying. Because of you,
Tom and Jennifer, he is able to trust and to have faith where there is
no understanding. For you two, we ask Christ to carry you, to honor the
belief you have in Him, to give you physical rest, and most of all, to
bathe you in love for each other and for Him. We're traveling this road

Tom, Jennifer, Ben, and Eli. My sister is a friend of either yours or of
Tammy's and she let me know about Ben and Eli so that I can pray for
you. I checked out your website and have been so encouraged and inspired
by reading about your dependence and faith in God. I am sending the link
out on a prayer chain and a mass email so that more people can be
lifting your family up to the Lord Almighty. I am 20 years old and have
had to go through 2 brain surgeries this year. But I cannot imagine
going through that at so young of an age. That is such an amazing
testimony of God's strength and grace. Praise the Lord that God is your
hope and your strength so that you can rest in His power and
sovereignty. God bless your family and my prayers are with all of you.

I know
you don't know me but i have been keeping up with Ben thru Heidi Pagur
where i work at NGK.I along with quite a few others wait each day to
hear from Ben, we are all praying that GOD will give Ben a second
chance. He is so strong and he can help so many other children with his

about your site through my best friend Emily Kaiden here at the
University of St. Thomas. She has kept us updated on the St. Jude
