Dear Tom
and Jennifer, I hope that you guys are doing well. Of course, I'm still
praying for your strength. I happened to be reading some inspirational
material this morning and I thought about you. I'm going to share a
passage of the material with you. It reads: "Like the blind man, each of
us will most likely meet up with suffering that seems grossly unjust and
defies explanation. If we are honest, we will question the goodness of
God and the wisdom of His ways. Yet, this is the time to remeber that we
are standing on an unseen stage, surrounded by the great cloud of
winesses, and the plot we are living is bigger than our own
autobiography. Isaiah 61:3 reminds us that He desires to make us into "a
planting of the Lord for the dsplay of His splendor." When we allow Him
to heal our hearts even when things make no sense, He gives us the
privilege of playing a role that reults in reflecting His glory for all
of eternity. ~Lord, when life makes no sense, give me the grace to
embrace the truth that You have purposes and

continue to pray and BELIEVE that Ben will receive his healing. The
prayer of healing must be done with boldness. God does not want us to be
discouraged or to give up. "Hope that is seen is not hope." I praise God

Each of
you never leaves our thoughts and prayers. I check the website more than
once a day. On my own bad days, I get an enormous amount of strength and
peace just by reading your updates. I can't explain it, but I often feel
closer to God at this website than I do when I'm at Sunday mass. You are
an beautiful example of a family devoted to God and eachother. Please

little Jill's web page. I now check on your family daily. It is amazing
how we are given precious angels, like Ben, to teach us the power of
prayer, value of life and other numerous lessons. What a big job for a

I was
praying for you all earlier today as I walked down the hall at work and
words from a praise song popped into my head- "Around me, You surround
me always" I was praying for God's presense to be felt in your house
today when that came to mind. I know that He is in your home with you-
our Lord, the Holy Spirit, our Savior! Satan tries all day to keep that
reality from all of us, that God surrounds us. Your sharing of your
journey shows so many of us that God does indeed surround us. I love

I still

found your site from the Martha Pullen prayer board. Tears are flowing
as I pray for sweet Ben and the whole family. A scripture comes to mind

Ben, Hey.
Great job you are such a fighter. Keeping Mommy and Daddy on thier toes
huh? I am so glad you are feeling better. You keep smiling! I know I try
my best to get my daughter to smile everyday and it's like a warm
feeling when she does. There is so much sunshine in a smile, don't you
think. You can light up the sky on a dark day just by smiling. You be
brave and strong Big Ben. God is always there. He has a hand in
everything we do. The tricky part is finding out what his plan is for
us. It's all piece of a puzzle, sometime's we may bump it and you have
to start all over. But then when it's finished you can't help but be
glad you kept with it and finished it. Be Brave. God Bless you and Eli,

Ben, i'm glad you are getting some peaceful rest. I'm sorry you don't
feel very good I wish I could take all your pain away. God is watching
you and your family Ben, and he always will be. To Eli I know its hard
dealing with something like this but remember you are loved very much.

work with abused and neglected children, and I have seen so many who

Jennifer
& Tom, Jennifer worked with my son Michael when he was smaller. He
always LOVED to see her coming. You guys have reminded me to enjoy the
moment more with Michael (and Katie). It is easy to get caught up in
seizure meds, seizures, therapy, and the everyday physical struggles
Michael has. The simple things get overlooked. It feels like we have
been in survival mode every since Michael's seizures started because
they got so bad (115 daily). Now things have improved with diet and
meds. His immune system is low and everything is a potential trigger. we
pray for Ben and your family everyday. You guys are doing great with
him. You remember to enjoy the little things. They are so important.
Every little moment with them. I do know what it is like to monitor them
breathing and your heart stops with every lowering of their little
chests. I know it is hard to be the best for both kids. I pray for our
family and yours on that. It is hard to spread yourself as thin as
