Dearests,
The Lord got me up tonight and Ben was on my mind. Alethea was up for
just a few moments and peacefully went back to sleep. I cannot imagine
what you are experiencing right now. My heart hurts for you and I lift
you up in prayer knowing that is the best thing I can do. I pray that He
will be near to you and Ben tonight and give you peace, that you would
rest in Him even when you're getting no physical rest. I want to remind
you that Jesus loves you and that when we are weak, He is strong!! We

God performs miracles, I also know that His miracles are not always seen
by us at this time. God IS performing a miracle with Ben, everyone who
reads this web site is witness to that. We may not get the miracle we
pray for now, but one day we get the miracle of ETERNITY with Jesus. I

praying for painfree peace for Ben and comfort and strength for Tom and
Jennifer. May God's grace and love completely envelope you four---for
Eli, a special understanding and calmness for such a young child to face

Are there
words for how I feel? No, I am at a loss and continue to hope and pray
for you all. Dear Lord Please watch over the Bowens and there little
Ben. He has fought like a warrior and needs a break. No child should
experience what he has endured. Leave them with peace and comfortable
moments with Ben. Please don’t allow him to suffer and that be the last
moments they remember with there little boy. Watch over them only as you
can and provide them with comfort and peace. Thank you. Amen. Know you

and Family, As I read your latest entry I am heartbroken for you all.
God does have a plan with us all, but I sure am praying hard for Him to
change course and give Ben a new plan for his life and let him be healed
and free from pain. Ben has such a light, it is obvious from his

My heart
breaks for you and your family. Every day we pray for the best and brace
for the worst because we're only human and we can't understand why
things like this happen. Cancer is such a relentless and devastating
disease. Sometimes I tell myself that when we pray for a miracle of
healing (especially for children) maybe we're being just a little
selfish. Maybe we want that miracle for ourselves because we can't bear
the thought of losing them. Christ said "In my Father's house are many
mansions" and these children are guaranteed a home in our Father's
house. Sometimes knowing that makes me feel better. So maybe sometimes
God grants us the miracle we're praying for and maybe other times the
ones we're praying for receive the miracle of God's promise of
everlasting life. No pain and no suffering. I'm praying for peace and
comfort for all of you and I'm praying for God to heal Ben's tumor. As
long as there's breath there's hope!

I have
read your latest entry and have said a prayer. I still wonder what to
say in my prayers to have them answered. As you know I pray constantly
for my son as well and thus far he has done well. I often wonder if what
I read about your family is only a time away from mine. I have tried to
prepare myself for the events that you are now going through and told
myself that if I believe, then when the worst of pain and struggle hits
I will need to prove my faith the most. I know your family is still
believing and at this time it must be difficult. We want our child to be
out of pain and suffering, but continue to keep faith and continue to
tell God you wish Ben to have peace, but still here with you. I will
continue to pray for Ben and I hope you will pray for Isaiah. Hold Ben
as tight as you can and refuse to let him go. I believe God can change
his will and I pray his will is to heal Ben. No matter how difficult or
advanced the condition may get, it is quite simple for God to change
anything at anytime for any reason.

Hey guys.
I've been busy with Nana - had to be put in hospital but I still keep up
with how Ben is doing. I have no words - I'm at a loss. I just need you
to know that I love all of you - Ben is blessed to have parents like you
and a big brother like Eli. And we are all blessed to have Ben in our
lives. How one little boy can make such a difference in so many lives is

As I
checked in on Ben this morning, my heart was heavy as I read your
lastest post. I am so sorry you have to go through this, that sweet Ben
must suffer so. There are no words to make you hurt any less, but this
verse has been brought to my mind many times over the past week as I've
prayed for Ben. I call this particular passage my "life verse"; I've
clung to these words many times in my life and I'd like to share it with
you. It is from Isaiah 43:1-4 (paraphrase mine): "Fear not...you are
mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you
pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk
through the fire, you will not be burned... You are precious and honored
in my sight...and I love you." This is the Lord's reminder that no
matter what we encounter or must endure, he is there to help us through
it, he will not let this consume you. Because HE LOVES YOU. He loves
little Ben more than even you as his parents could imagine. And I
