I became parents for the first time this year and it wasn't until then
that we had a full understanding of the love that a parent has for their
child. I can't even imagine what the last several months have been like
for you and your family. If this were to ever happen to my family I hope
we would be able to show just a fraction of the grace, courage, and
example of true faithfulness that you have shown the world. We will
continue to pray for you daily that God will give Ben comfort and the
rest that he needs and strength for your family.

where you need. Asking for Him to stand in all of the hurt and broken

Bowens,After reading the latest update from your family, I was unable to
control the tears for your family. I admire your family with the faith
and courage you have shown with your battle. Eli, you are on special
little boy. You have more courage and faith and everything else that
most adults don't have at a young age. God has not forgotten you. HE
loves you for who you are and how you are an awesome big brother. I am
still praying for a miracle and some rest for your family!

has handled each hurdle with a strength & wisdom that is far beyond his

As I was
rushing around getting my 3 year old ready for bed last night, my
husband came in and asked if we had brushed teeth, and done all of the
nightime rituals. I was very short with him and hastily said, no, we're
getting to that. He then asked if our daughter had said her nightime
prayers, and again, I replied no, not yet, but she has got to get to bed
soon! She looked up at me and said, "Well, we can't forget to say our
prayers, what about Baby Ben? I have to pray for him!" At that moment we
all, as a family, got beside her bed and prayed. Just want you to know
we continue to pray for you daily, and you are constant in our thoughts.

never signed the guestbook because I felt my words would be inadequate.
But I realized today that it is comforting to know that people are
praying, so I wanted to let you know that I am storming the gates of
heaven for your precious Ben. Your family is just beautiful. Those
pictures of your two little boys with their twinkling eyes just melt my
heart each time I visit your site. The love that you have for your sons
shines through your posts and warms my heart as well. I ache with you
that Ben is suffering so. Thank you for allowing us to share in this
journey with you, and for the honor and privilege of going to the Lord
