Your
journal tonight breaks my heart, even though I know you are right - the
best days ARE still to come. But what I know and how I feel are
sometimes hard to reconcile. Thinking of you always, praying for you
constantly.

Words
seem unable to speak what I am feeling for all of you. As I hold our 2
year old twin granddaughters, I can't imagine having one ill--A very
close friend of ours daughter had Cystic Fibrosis and one day she asked
her minister what it would be like to leave this world and see Jesus. He
told her it was like when you fall alseep on the couch and you end up in
your bed. You don't know how you got there, but you know that with love
you were taken there. She was 6 years old when she asked this and died
shortly afterwards. But she was comforted knowing she would be loved by
Jesus. He is such a rock for all of us. You are in our prayers daily.
Keep believing.

family has touched my heart in so many ways. You show an incredible
display of faith in our wonderful God. Where there could be bitterness
and anger, you show only love and grace - I see God's light shining
through you and your family. You and Jennifer are such a witness in
holding fast to our Father and letting Him take care of the big picture.
Through Ben's story, I am learning what it truly means to not question
what God is doing -even when we may not like it. He knows the whole
story and all we can do is trust Him and hold fast to His promises. He
is always there to hold us up and comfort us, give us strength and His
undescribable peace. I pray that peace and comfort for you and Ben and

Continued.. I wish all of my parents could get a glimpse of what is
truly important throught you! Just wanted to tell you also that I
started following Ben's story last Spring through Alecia McIllrath's
Caringbridge site. My daughter attends Valparaiso University where she
is a nursing student and is friends with one of the McIllrath's church
members. My daughter's sorority supports St. Jude as their Philanthropic

Just a
short note for Ben and his family. I again wish you God's blessings. I
know you enter this new year with a somewhat heavy heart. The faith that
you all have had throughout this terrible time in your life is
remarkable! I think Ben must be, at least for now, your guarding angel.
God is speaking to each of you through this marvelous child and he has
been a blessing to all. How wonderful is God to embrace us, if even for
a short time, with so much love and blessings as Ben has been. My prayer
for you and your family this year is that you will indeed endure the
pain and heartache of what is to come, and give you the strength to let
Ben return to the presence of the Lord! Hug that little boy for me and

your family's story continues to amaze me. We just did a bible study
last night on prayer and all I could think about was Ben, your family
