Still
praying and believing with you. We know what you are going through, the
pain, the questions, the emotions, but also know from our own experience
that God's grace is sufficient for all of this. There were times we
questioned that and wondered, but God's peace that truly passes all
understanding would overtake us. God is truly awesome, and He is still

Dear Ben,
It's been awhile since I posted an entry but wanted to let you know you
and your family are still in my daily thoughts and prayers. Your story
has touched so many lives....like a ripple effect. As for me, your story
started out at the Winfield Child Development Center and affected so
many people there...then rippled to my work in Chas and from there
rippled even further to my co workers and rippled still further to their
families and churches and so on. Your story and your family's faith has
touched us all. As for myself, I have learned so much from you and I
have learned more about my own faith. Please know in your heart that so

your story thru the Michael W. Smith website and you have touched my

Ben, You
are such a sweet and loving child. I have learned SO MUCH from you and
Hanna that I am not sure I can even tell you everything. I have learned
how important it is to enjoy every day and to not take a moment for
granted. I have learned what true patience, grace of God, endurance and
faithfulness really means. (just to name a few) Your smile and kisses
that you blew to me will be what I think about often. Your good mood and
sweet nature has always amazed me. To know what all you were going
through at St. Jude (procedures and such) and then the pain that you
were experiencing but you still had that smile, makes me know that life
is truly what we make of it. You are such a blessing to everyone that
knows you. And I know that having you in their lives has made your
mommy, daddy and Eli a better person. I love you and pray for you daily.

I do not
know Ben personally. I did meet him when Jennifer was pregnant. Eli was
having a play group woth my grandson Alex. But Ben has definetly had an
influence in my life. He is one little fellow that is bigger than life
itself. How you cope with everything is beyond me, but Ben is so lucky
to have chosen you two for his parents. He has taught me that life is
more precious than anything-whether it is for a short time or a very
long time. He has touched so many people in his life so far that most
people don't sccomplish in a lifetime. And that smile...nothing like it.
Keep the faith and thank you for letting me know Ben.

heavenly father I come to you in the wee hours of this morning for the
Bowens are on my heart. Father I just pray you wrap your arms around
them...hold them tightly dear Lord and comfort them as only you can.
Please father give Tom and Jennifer the strength to care for both
boys....Give them the courage they need to continue on this path you
have led them to. I just pray you put your healing hand on little Ben
father. Please heal this baby boy father. Lord I just pray you hold
little Eli tight during this time as he too is suffering. He's so small
and I'm sure very frightened to see his baby brother so sick especially
on the heels of dear sweet Hanna. Help him to be comforted father.
Father we just thank you for Tammy and Davids friendship towards the
Bowens. Please help her to be a comfort and a help. Give her strength to
lift up the Bowens when they feel they can no longer stand. Father we
just ask that you ease baby Bens pain. I just ask you keep him
