I'm
posting because you've asked...Ben...it makes my heart hurt that you
have to experiance this beast. But you and your family like so many
other families fighting this beast have allowed my heart to have wings.
To love my family with a greater intensity and to reteach me how to
pray. I thank you for showing me these things and so many more. There
aren't anymore words to describe how my heart hurts and how I pray
nightly for you. I believe.

the world? You are! You are an excellent role model for how a brother
should be. Love you, kiddo! Mom and Dad ~ May you be blessed with your
miracle upon miracles!

Dear
Precious Family, You all radiate the love of the Lord, a testiomony of

Ben, WE
put your picture on the refrigerator and look at it evey day and say a
prayer for you. I hung my St. Judes 1/2 Marathon finishers medal over my
bed so that I could look at it every day. We are planning to run St
Judes again next year and hope to see you and your family at the race!

Ben, it
is so amazing to see our God working in the lives of your family and
friends. Throughout the last 8 months or so the family of God has come
together to support and lift you up to His throne. Brothers and sisters
that you have not met on this earthly side, talk intimately to the
Father about you. We are truly one body of believers coming together for
your benefit and His glory. We are praising God with you this Christmas!

Dear Ben,
I "met" you about 6 months ago through our neighbor Louie Hentz. Your
journeys are somewhat different, but in many ways the same. The impact
you both had on hundreds...no THOUSANDS of people cannot be described.
Now, I try to keep my wordly problems in perspective and ALWAYS offer up
any minor inconveniences I'm facing for yours and Louie's sake. Thank
you for being such a powerful witness to God's awesome gift (life) and
know that the impact you've had on this earth will pale in comparison to
the wonderful deeds you'll accomplish for your family while you're
resting comfortably in the home we all seek someday. Until we "meet"
again, please carry my love for you forever! Thank you. Love, Dave

Dear
Bowens, I've followed your updates for several months and pray for you
all every day. No parent should have to go through what you are, but
your testimony of faith is a wonderful example to all of us. Ben and you
have touched soooo many people and will, I'm sure, continue to touch
people for a very long time to come. Ben and I share a birthday, so he
will always be in my thoughts and prayers. May God hold you gently in
his hands. I pray too for little Eli who is the same age as my precious
grandson. God bless you all.

I just
wanted to sign in and let you know that you are in our hearts and
prayers. My son and I sat down the other day and read through your
story. He looked up at me and asked "Isn't there anything we can do to
help mommy?" I looked at him and told him "Yes there is, we can pray."
He looked at me and said "Ok, let's do that." I said "Ok." We sat here
together and we prayed for you Ben, and your family. So Ben you have
touched even my son in a profound way, that night when I took him to his
Dad's he told him about you. You are an amazing young man, and may God
forever hold you in his loving hands. Eli, stay strong and know that
your mom and dad love you very much and are always there for you. Even
though you miss Hannah remember she is always there with you, in your
heart and in your memories. Look for her in your dreams, and that is
where you'll see her and be able to play with her. Always remember just
because you can't see her in the now, it doesn't mean you can't talk to
her, and if you listen closely you

Continued.... will hear her talking back to you, it maybe only a bird
singing or the wind blowing but she is always there. Look for her in

It has
been a blessing in my life to read about the strength of Ben and the
faith of your family. My Eli and Ben pray for your Eli and Ben every
night, we pray for spontaneous healing and strength for you all. Thank
you for sharing your lives with the world to remind us of how the
troubles in our lives have positive impacts in other people's lives. The
Lord will see us through anything he puts in front of us and you and
your family are a testament to that. BIG BEN, even though we don't know
you personally, we love you and pray for you. Sincerely, Leslie, Eli and

Mark
10:14-16 Jesus said: "Suffer the little children to come unto me and
forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto
you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child,
he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his
hands upon them, and blessed them." Ben, you and your family have
impacted more lives in the past year than most people do in a lifetime.
Your strength along with their faith and steadfastness will not be
forgotten. Be at peace, for you have found your purpose and fulfilled
it. God bless you all.

I read
your story and it is a wonderful one! Yes, God uses all things,
including the illness of Ben. I loved what Tom said, "FAITH is abstract
until you put it to the test" That is an awesome statement! At my
church, Eagles Landing First Baptist Church, home of the christian band,
Casting Crowns, we have an out reach program implimented in our church
called, FAITH. My husband and I have had 3 semesters of it. It has
changed my husband life and he is now able to go and share his FAITH
through this ministry! I am going to share this statement to our
ministry leader who can hopefully put this in the bullitan for the
announcement of the enrollement for January 2005. We are moving and will
not be able to be a part of the program. I hope that God will let us be
used in another church to share this program, etc. I will be praying for
you all, may you find peace and comfort knowing HE is in control and
will work it all out for HIS perfect plan. We just have to be an open
vessel, continuing to be filled up with him daily, even moment

I just
wanted to say that this had really touched my heart in so many ways. I
work for ALSAC - the fund raising arm of St. Jude. I know the work that
I do everyday affects all of the children and their families. My office
is right next to a window, so if I am having a bad day or feeling down,
I can just look out across the street at the hospital and think about
all those precious children over and then I can put things back into
perspective of how lucky I am. The children are hero's and they are so
strong. My sister-in-law had leukemia, so I do know the pain and
confussion felt from the families of the children. She is in full
remission now and I know if it wasn't for the work we do, that she would
not be here today. I will pray for the Bowen Family - we know now it is
in God's hands and he knows best - but that is very hard to swallow in
this situation. When I pulled up this website on my computer today,
tears just started streaming down my face and I just wanted to send a
note to let you now your family is not facing this

I am
still believing with you. I am still praying for Ben's miracle. And when
I don't even know how to pray, how to ask, the Holy Spirit intercedes for
me "with groanings too deep for words". Romans 8:26. Every time one of
the myriad people around the world prays for Ben, part of God's Trinity
intercedes in that particular prayer. Love to you all today, Jennifer

Tears
fill my eyes as I type this. I just want you to know that just reading
Ben's story has brought me to a place of humbleness to the Lord. I have
been very cold and distant to the Lord recently. But, after reading of
Ben's story and of the hope that you have, I am reminded of the
magnificent awesomeness our God is. I prayed to Him, with tears from my
eyes and my heart for your entire family. God has placed love and
compassion in each and everyone of us, and today I am reminded of that
love and compassion, as I extend it towards you in a simple prayer. My
prayer is for constant healing- for you, Ben, and for your family and
friends. You have brought a light into this world- a light that will
never go out. You have touched me. And for that, I am ever grateful. God
bless you. Tom and Jennifer: Thank you for being so strong, and for
sharing Ben's story. I wish I knew you personally. You have wisdom
beyond your years.

17, 2004 Ben and his family: Your little “footprints” have had a huge
impact on so many people, Ben. In our family, you have become “one of
our own.” It is a daily routine to wonder “how is Ben doing today.” Of
course, we then get on the computer to see if there is a message. We
also have a very sick child in our family. Gracie is 4 and she has
ewings sarcoma. She is our niece. It is hard to believe that we have not
met you or your family, yet you seem like “family”. The journey that you
and other children like Gracie are on, was destined long before you were
born. When you are snug and comfy in your own secure home, it seems as
if all the world is right and nothing can go wrong. To keep you safe and
snuggled in your family’s loving arms is all that is asked. Then realty
strikes when the doctor’s appointments and hospitals come into the daily
routine or the “sickness” mode of this horrible disease strikes. Ben
stay strong and believe. You have a wonderful family who have been there
