I got too
wordy in my post and got cut off. The last part of my post was . . .
Especially at Christmas we think about how our Creator sent us His Son
who eventually returned to prepare a place for us but left us with the
Holy Spirit to comfort us. That's God's promise. I pray for you to have
joy in spite of the circumstances. Thank you for sharing your miracle
with us. May you be filled with peace.

I'm so
lost for words. I've met you one time and your family has captured my
heart. I'm on the website everyday waiting on updates. Even though we've
only met once at the Chapmanville First Church of Christ, your story is
so deep in my heart. Ben was all smiles at church as him and Eli played
as if nothing was wrong. He's such a fighter. I would love to see him
just one more time and hold him so close. I don't have children but lots
of nieces and nephews wrapped around my leg. I can't imagine what you
are going through. He's so full of love. Tom and Jen, you have taught so
many people to have faith, courage and to believe. Words doesn't even
explain. The power of prayer is so strong with your family. You've
taught so many to just have faith and put all our trust in God's word.
I've been forwarding this story to people I work with. Its taught me how
to bind together with other christians and pray. When people bind
together in agreement, things happen. God answers our prayers. I know he
has been with you every step of this t

You are
in my prayers!! I am a friend of Sarah and Micah Barker (another St.
Jude patient) and was put in touch with Ben's site through them. It was
great to see a family trusting in God so much for the critical needs of
their family. I was so encouraged to read about little Ben and this
family. All of you are being lifted up in prayer and I am thankful for
the obsticles you all have grown through and continue to overcome. May
God bless you and make Ben's success story one for the record books!
thanks for sharing your story!

Hello
Bowen family, and ESPECIALLY Big Ben. I have been following your story
for awhile and wanted to let you all know that Ben has made a huge
impact on my life. My little boy is 19 mos old and I WILL be a better
Mommy to him because of you. Every time he smiles lately, I am reminded
of another infectious smile that I see everytime I visit this site. Each
smile also reminds me of what a special gift I was given when I became a
Mommy. Each smile reminds me of God's grace and my belief that all
things are possible with God on our side. I will continue to pray and
BELIEVE in God's ability to shock us all with Ben's Miracle. God Bless
all of You!

Tom and
Jennifer - I cannot imagine what it must be like to have this happening
to your son without being able to do anything to make it go away. As
parents we all want to protect our children and make all the bad stuff
just go away. I am praying for you both. I am deeply saddened by the
news that Ben is not getting better but also I am HOPEFUL that God will
grant you the miracle we all have asked for. Ben and Eli - I hope you
both enjoy Christmas and have lots of fun together.

I'm new
to Ben's story, but with just one quick glance around your website I
know that my life will not be the same. I will pray for Ben and for your
family, that you will all continue to feel God's guiding hand and
comforting embrace through this very difficult time.

sharing Bens life. He has touched my life. I check daily on the updates

Dear Ben,
I came upon your story last week while I was on St Judes website making
some honor contributions for Christmas and now I just can't seem to get
you out of my thoughts. I think about you when I check my e-mail every
morning--I can't help going to your website and checking in on you. I
think of you when I go to bed at night and say my prayers. But most of
all, I think of you when I go home from work and see my two little boys
(Gage, 5, and Beau, 18 months). See, Ben, I grew up as an only child
because my older brother died of Leukemia when he was nearly 7. I was
only 2, so I don't really remember him, but my life has been very
affected by his death. I have to say that it still makes me very sad
that I missed out on knowing him, but I can see that some very good
things have come about in the lives of my parents and me because of his
short life here on earth. For example, my mother never sang in front of
an audience of any kind until after Derren died and now she is the music
leader for our church and has given her testimony

For
example, my mother never sang in front of an audience of any kind until
after Derren died and now she is the music leader for our church and has
given her testimony in many churches. She has also been involved in
grief counseling for Campassionate Friends, a support group for parents
who have lost children. Because I grew up in a home with grieving, but
loving Christian parents, you would think that I would be soaking up
every bit of the two boys I now have. This is where you come into my
story, Ben. You have been a very inspirational (and needed) reminder for
me. Your mommy and daddy are immersing themselves in you. Every hour,
every minute, every second they spend with you is precious, irreplacable
time. They are soaking up every little bit of their life with you and
storing it in a protected place. I wasn't doing that with my kids--not
until I read your story. You have taught me that its okay if the kitchen
stays dirty until after they go to bed. You taught me that I DO have
time to read that book before bedtime. You taught me

You
taught me that I DO have time to read that book before bedtime. You
taught me that its okay if Beau splashes the bathwater on my wallpaper
and makes it curl up around the edges. Its okay because they are my
babies and my time with them is precious. Just like your time with your
family is precious. None of us knows for sure how long we will have with
our babies--they're just on loan to us from God. So make the most of
every seccond--that's what I learned from you, Ben. Merry Christmas!
Still believing with you.

Big Ben I
honor you. You have done so much in your brief time here. You are a
gift. Please know that so many people love and honor you. Your Mommy,
Daddy and brother care so much for you it is immeasurable. I am not a
very religious person, but I pray for you and your loving family. I have
three children and value them more and more since knowing you, Ben. You
are in my heart. Merry Christmas.

Tom,
Jennifer, Eli, and BIG Ben, I came across your website months ago
through the website of another litle boy diagnosed with cancer. My day
is not complete unless I sign onto your website and read up on Ben's
daily life. Ben has made me realize the beauty in life and has taught me
to "not sweat the small stuff". My thoughts are always with him,
especially during this difficult time. Have a wonderful Christmas!

I just
wanted to let you know that when I received an e-mail from a friend just
a moment ago about Ben, I stopped what I was doing and said a prayer for
Ben and the family. Having 2 small children myself, I thank the Lord for
2 healthy, happy children, but it's easy to take that for granted
sometimes. The Great Physician will heal anyone of any disease if you
ask it in His Name and believe it with ALL of your heart. May God Bless
You during this Christmas season.

family, we came upon your website through your friend Micah and her mom.
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We are the

Dear
friends, I found your story through Micah's story. God has prompted me
to write although I don't know exactly what to say. My husband and I
have lost two pregnancies, but we keep on. God is such a faithful One.
He is definitely with Ben and I'm sure Ben knows it! I have prayed for
your family and continue to hope for your growth in the Lord, physically
and mentally. ~kim.p

Sweet
Ben- I have learned so many valuable lessons from you. I have learned
that the things that I once thought were a big deal are really not. I
hug my kids more, I am a more patient mommy, I savour every moment I
have with my loved ones. We are not guaranteed a tomorrow so I try to
make the most of each beautiful day. Because of you I know what really
matters in life- We love you Ben and still pray for that miracle every
day. HUGS- The Stroud Family

There are
so many ways that Ben's story has changed/touched my life. I do not take
my children's good health for granted. I am so thankful and blessed that
they are both so healthy and happy. I thank God for this every single
day. As I have followed Ben's story I have read about so many of Ben's
friends who are also very sick and may not have much time with their
families and all of these stories make me cherish even more than before
every moment I spend with my children. Time spent with our children is
precious and should not be taken for granted. I try not to sweat the
little things in life that may get me down or make me angry because my
life could be a whole lot worse - I could have a child who has cancer. I
have always been a compassionate person but through Ben's story I have
become compassionate for people I have never met before and will
probably never meet. Others sometimes wonder why I check up on all of
these children I have never met and I just tell them that it is because
after reading their stories and updates

- I have grown to honestly care about these children and their families.
I do not "know" their pain but I "feel" their pain. I have cried many
tears for them. I want these children to be healthy, happy and have the
chance to grow up and experience everything life has to offer. Thank you
for sharing Ben's story and changing my life. I love you Big Ben! : )
