Bowens,
My name is Dawn Aldridge. I was your nurse a couple of times on night
shift when you all were at Cincinnati Children's on A7N/S. I want to
share with you that our entire unit has kept updates on your family
through this web site. The entire team at Cincinati Children's A7N/S
sends your family our deepest condolences, love and prayers. We are all
deeply greiving at the loss of your most precious Ben. We all loved him
so much and each of us has been eternally moved by his life and the
strength and faith of this family. Please know that our every thought is
with you. I personally have been touched by your sorrow and would like
to share something with you. In 1998 I lost my very beloved neice. We
were very close. I understand there is no greater loss than the loss of
a child. I want to share with you a few things that helped me personally
survive her death. I pray this will bring you comfort. First, I know so
well that you all are believers, and I too understand the mighty power
of God and I assure you he keeps his promise that

I just
found out through one of Ben's supporters that he has passed on. I am
very sorry for your loss. Please know that Ben has gone on to a better
place now, where he can run and play and be pain free just like any
other little boy. Your family will be in my continued prayers. God bless
you Tom, Jennifer, and Eli.

This poem
was read at Chastity's funeral and I want to share it with you. I'm Free
Don't grieve for me. for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid
for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left
it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or
play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at close
of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared a laugh a kiss; Ah yes, these things too I miss. Be
burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My
life's been full. I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones
touch. Perhaps my time seems all to brief; Don't lengthen it now with
undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He
set me free.

The Bowen
family has been in my prayers ever since I heard about Big Ben on the
news last year, finding that he's the same age as my son. I believe one
of Bens purposes here on earth was to touch the lives of many in the
world to be more thankful for what God us given us. His purpose now is
to be an angel in Hevan and help watch over all the little angels down
here on earth. My heart goes out to you!

I am so
very sorry for your loss of Ben. I stummbled on his website last night
for the first time and was shocked to hear that he had just passed away.
Tears flowed down my face. I was inspired by Ben within minutes, just
from the website and before I knew he had walked to Jesus and didn't
look back. I am sending you prayers during this most difficult time. God
Bless you and your entire family. We now have another angel, Ben, in the
arms of our Lord.

Music really helped me. Even though some times it made me cry it also
brought comfort. A couple of my favorites that really saw me through
were Go Rest High On that Mountain by Vince Gill. The Dance by Garth
Brooks. My Heart Will Go ON, The Prayer and Fly by Celine Dion, and
Angel by Sarah Mcglaughlin. We will all miss Ben's big beautiful smile.
God Bless your family. May God give you peace and rest. Please give Eli
a hug and kiss for us. We truely love you all. Love and prayers from the
entire staff of A7N/S at Cincinnati Children's.

Mr and
Mrs. Bowen, You may not remember me, but my name is Grant Traylor. I was
a student at Huntington High and participated in Campus Life in 1997-99.
I want you to know that I express my deepest sympathies and I know that
Ben's life was a blessing to you both. His life had a great purpose and
he will live on through your hard work and dedication even through the
difficult times. Thank you for being an inspiration. God Bless!

Bowen
Family- I was brought to tears reading about Ben today. I recently made
a donation to St. Judes after listening to a radio marathon for them and
hearing the stories. I was so touched by what I heard that I decided to
look up more storeies and was heart broken when I read yours. I watched
my mother die from breast cancer that went to her brain as well. She had
surgries and many treatments that were agonizing to watch as well. I
know it's not the same as losing a child, but I was extremly thankful to
be there for her just as I know you were thankful to be there for Ben
too. My prayers go out to you both and Eli.There isn't a minute that
goes by where we don't miss the ones we've lost, but the time until we
get to see them again may only seem like a long time now but is truly
only a blink of an eye when we are with them in heaven. Katie

Tom,
Jennifer & Eli, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Thank God Ben
is now pain free. An angel sitting at the feet of Jesus. I know there
will be rough days ahead, but your faith in God and the sweet memories
of Big Ben will carry you though. What a wonderful, special child you
had. May God bless you this day and each day ahead in a very special
way!!! Always in my prayers.

Please
accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your son. He too along
with Rachel will be in my thoughts. I met Shari and Aaron at the Ronald
McDonald house in February and I thought they were wonderful people. My
granddaughter Grace Peshkur was in Cincinnati Hospital and ahe also is a
very sick little girl. It was so good talking to people like your
cousins. We know we will face what you are going through in the next few
years and hope you will say a tiny prayer for our Grace. Please visit
her website www.ourgrace.org May the peace of the Lord be with your
family Love....Maureen Peshkur

Your family has done so much with Ben's story and I know you will
continue to touch more lives by honoring Ben and sharing your story for
years to come. You have an amazing family. May God bless you all and get
you through the next few days with grace as he has done the past year.

I'm VERY
sorry to hear of Baby Ben's passing. I lost my father almost 3 years
ago..and my heart goes out to your family. I get so frustrated when
people say, "Oh, it'll get better in time". It don't! Well, for me it
hasn't. The longer my Dad is gone, the more I miss him. I couldn't EVEN
imagine the pain you and your family are going through with it being
your child. But, please know this..BabyBen did ALOT of work in his 2
short years..More than most of us have in a lifetime. You carry that
proudly..He'd want you too. I've NEVER seen an adult as strong or as
brave as Ben. Your baby has touched the lives of MANY people in this
world while he was here...and I'm sure that Ben's fight has just begun!
Your sacrifice will NOT be in vain..somehow I'm sure between Ben and
God..they'll see to that...May God Bless You...you will always be in my
prayers...xx/oo
