Jen, Tom
and Eli- Myra, Sherri and I spent some time last night just thanking God
for Ben's life, as well as lifting up Eli, and the two of you. I know
that this has been a difficult journey-more difficult than most of us
will ever know- but I am assured that you know your freedom to just pour
your grief and thanksgiving out to our Father all mixed together.
Continuing to pray without ceasing for you. There are two verses from
the hymn "When I survey the Wondrous Cross" that I just can't get out of
my mind, so I want to share them- "See from His head, His hands, His
feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down; Did e'er such love and sorrow
meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Were the whole realm of nature
mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all." words by Issac Watts. Praying for
peace. Thanks for sharing Ben's story with the rest of us. We are richer
because of it.

Tom,
Jennifer, & Eli~ I have waited almost a whole day to sign your
guestbook. What can I say? I am so thankful that you shared Ben with me
and everyone else. I would hate to think that I never would have known
of him. My heart hurts so badly for you all and I wanted with everything
in me for him to be spared and left here on earth for a while longer
with you, healed and feeling well. I know God knows what is best, but my
heart still wishes it had turned out differently. Ben's life, though
short, has had so much meaning and love to share. He truly was an angel
among us who has finally went home. God bless your hearts. Jennifer,
tell your mom that Rich (my husband) is thinking of her as well. Take
care and if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
Rest peacefully, Big Ben.

Please
know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you
prepare to say your goodbyes to Ben. Please tell Eli how special he is
and what a wonderful big brother has been. Also know that Ben's story,
your story, has inspired a student nurse to pursue hospice care.

There are
no words to comfort you for a loss of this magnitude. Please know that
Ben and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Tears started
flowing when I read the update this morning, for I cannot imagine what
your family has gone through, or what you are about to endure. I will
make a solemn promise to Big Ben and all the other children who are
suffering or who have suffered from such a horrible disease--I will put
forth all my efforts to help bolster fund raising for finding a cure. I
have never been affected as deeply as I have since reading Ben's story,
and I feel that God is sending me down a path to help. Thank you for
sharing your personal story with the world--in honor of Ben, I promise
to make the "biggest" effort I can to help fund such a worthy cause. My
love to the Bowen family, and much needed hugs. God Bless Ben, and I'm
saying special prayers for Eli.

Father, I
just lift this family up to you right now, as You hold Ben in Your arms.
God, I wish I could see him smiling up at You, laughing and truly being
free from pain. Father, I pray that You would show peace, rest and hope
to Eli, Jennifer and Tom. Thank You Lord for everything You have done,
are presently doing and will do in the future through Ben's Story. In
Your name...Amen. Welcome Home Big Ben.

Dearest
Tom, Jennifer, and Eli, I've been keeping up with your journey after
finding out about it through the battle my cousin Lindsay is facing with
her son, Matt. I cannot express how deeply I feel for you and how much I
admire you all. I, too, will miss Ben, (I began to feel like I "knew"
you all after keeping up with your journal) and I cannot imagine how
very much he will be missed by his family and friends. I will continue
to pray for you all...I am thankful that he is now pain-free, yet my
heart is heavy for each of you....I send love and hugs your way....

but I am soothed by the knowledge that he is now in the arms of the Lord
in Heaven. You all are an inspiration to millions in your faith,
strength and love throughout this ordeal. I know that Big Ben Bowen will
live forever not only in your hearts, but in the hearts of the millions
touched by his incredible story. To God's Newest Little Angel, Big Ben
Bowen, Ben, you are my hero, and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I know
you are having the time of your life in Heaven and I am so glad that you
are no longer in any pain or discomfort! I know you will do a wonderful
job watching over your dear parents and your older brother Eli and being
their guardian angel. You are a wonderful little boy!

I have no
words to express my sorrow for your loss, so I'll just leave you with
this prayer card message: "My last breath did not say goodbye. For my
love for you is truly timeless, and beyond the touch of death. I leave
myself to your memory with love. I leave my thoughts, my laughter, my
dreams, to you whom I have treasured beyond gold and precious gems. I
give you what no thief can steal, the memories of our times together,
the tender love filled moments, the successes we shared, the hard times
that brought us closer together and roads we have walked side by side. I
also leave you a solemn promise that even though I am home with God, I
will still be present, whenever and wherever you call on me. All I take
with me, as I leave, is your love and the millions of memories of all
that we shared. I truly enter my new life as a millionare. Thank you,
fear not, nor grieve too long at my departure. For my roots and yours,
are forever intertwined."

How
beautiful Heaven must be. Ben's time on earth is over, but he will live
in our hearts forever. Eli, God loves you and will take good care of
Ben. It's okay to be sad. Tom and Jennifer, I cannot even imagine what
you two must be feeling. I cannot offer any words of comfort, only my
prayers. Ben's story has touched so many people in many different ways.
He was a remarkable little boy. God Bless You.

Jen, Tom
and Eli, while it has been several years since I have talked with you,
my deepest sympathies are with you all right now. I have followed Ben's
story through my mom and other friends in Huntington and he has often
been in my prayers. And, our prayers have been answered, Ben has been
healed. He is perfect, painfree, and sitting in the arms of the Father.
I know you will miss him desperately and remember him throughout this
life, but the good news is that you will one day be reunited with Ben
and live in peace forever. Thank you for your example of faithfulness
and trust in the Lord throughout this difficult time. Your genuine faith
in Christ is influencing many lives for the kingdom of God. I thank God
for you everytime I remember you and Ben and I will be praying for you
in this bittersweet time, grieving a loss and celebrating a homecoming.
May the Lord be with you and keep you, may he make his face shine upon
you and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
and give you peace. We love you!

We will
remember you all in prayer. I can only imagine what you are feeling. Ben
is well now. This perfect little boy has a perfect body, one he will
have forever. No more pain. I am so happy we have the assurance we will
see him again. We have given to St Jude for over 13 years. Even before
our own daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkins at age 16. We will be
praying for Eli too. I just can't imagine the pain you all have been
going thru, I pray for your comfort, and peace. God Bless
