Dear
Bowen Family, It is through tears that I type this guestbook entry. To
read your update and know that Ben is in so much pain breaks my heart. I
have been praying so hard that Ben be pain free just as I know many
others have. I have a son Ben's age and I can't even imagine how I would
feel if he were in that much pain. I pray for you as parents that God
gives you the wisdom to work with the Doctors and Nurses to make Ben
comfortable and to somehow ease your pain. Before Ben, I thought little
about my faith. After Ben, I pray daily and not just once and I BELIEVE.
Ben and your family is always in my prayers. May your little one be pain
free and may his suffering end. And for Eli, such a strong little boy,
may God comfort you as you watch over your little brother. Know that
many people love all of you and are praying very hard.

I am
still praying hard for peace for Ben, it breaks my heart to read about
him experiencing so much pain. I am praying for all of you as well. You
are very special people and I admire your strength. Tom, I don't know if
anyone's ever suggested this, but you have such a wonderful way with
words, you should write a book someday, maybe about this experience.

I dreamed
about you guys all night. Ben was running and laughing in my dream. It
was so wonderful. I woke up this morning and signed on to your web site
to read the latest update always hoping for a miracle. But I realize he
is a miracle so many people have been touched by Ben and your family and

My
dearest Tom, Jennifer, Eli and Ben: I can not contain the tears as I
read your latest update. Back in August I had the privalege of being at
the bed-side of the man that was soon to become my step-dad. His death
was unexpected and for three weeks I watched his body being ravished
away by his illness. I felt exhausted, I felt as my own life was being
drained as I helplessly watched him, the St. Mary's medical team and my
mother (on her knees at his bed-side) fight for his life. I know that my
experience does not even remotely come close to what you as a family are
experiencing right now, but I know without a doubt, in the deepest part
of my soul, that Christ Himself is holding your arms up, just as Aaron
held Moses' arms up when he could not longer do it himself. I know,
because I experienced it when Eddie went on to be with Jesus. When I
think of Ben's story I can't help but praise our God for the miracle of
his life and how He has used it to reach the hearts of many. "My mout

warrior is a fighter to the very end, isn't he? Not until we meet Jesus
will any of us be able to know the depth of Ben's impact on this world.
My heart is absolutely broken for you all. Probably like most people who
follow your journey, I remain on the verge of tears each day...both
broken-hearted by Ben's pain and how you must ache and overwhelmed by
his impact! I am praying with the whole of my heart for peace and

I CANT

I have
followed your story since I first heard, which was probably on the Tom
Roten Morning Show. My family has continually prayed for Ben, as has my
congregation (Ben's been on our prayer list for quite some time). We
ordered our wristbands a few weeks ago at Hallmark and my daughter is
anxious to wear it for Ben's honor. She (10 year old Ashley) and my son
(6 year old Colby) counted their change over the weekend with the
intention of donating it to St. Jude's in Ben's honor. We are praying
for Ben's comfort, for your faith to continue to sustain you, and for
peace for Eli that only God can grace him with. It's in Christ's love

really has changed me. I never thought I could hear of such an innocent
baby suffering and still believe that God is good and loves us. However,
I have seen God's work in all of this. I still have difficulty in
accepting Ben's suffering but I have faith that God has a purpose for us
all. I pray so hard for Ben's comfort - also Eli's. My heart is torn to
pieces coming here and reading that Ben's pain is not under control. I
also worry about what Eli is going through. It is a lot for a little guy
to handle. Your family continues to inspire me and affect the way I live
my life. I have more faith because of Ben - not less (like I thought I
would). I shed tears for such a sweet little boy but also smile at how
he has touched us all. I will continue to pray for all of the things you
need. Mostly I will pray for God to cradle all of you in His arms.
