Comments We continue to pray for Big Ben and your entire family. We have experienced the ugliness of cancer, though not through a child. How we pray that God will continue to give you the physical strength you so badly need during this difficult time. We can already see the spiritual strength He has provided and continues to provide. May God bless all of you.

Comments I could not sign off without sharing one last thought. People know you because they are your friend or neighbor, people know you because they've met you during this journey, and people know you from the heart you share on this website. The grace, strength, and eloquence that comes pouring through truly magnifies God each time. The steadfast and firm faith has been like a beacon, drawing us back day by day. And your 2/14 response was absolute grace. Ben’s ‘season’ has been mighty for such a little boy. No one will ever be the same. Love, T&N

Comments I just wanted to say that we are praying for Ben's comfort, for peace for all of you, and for you to feel the presence of Jesus all around you. I know for sure that He is there. We love you all and will be so proud to wear our Big Ben bands. The Whites

Comments This story is one that is so touching. I just wanted to let the family know that you are in all my prayers and I will have others to pray for you also. I hope there is something more that I could do to help and I will do my best to do that. God Bless you always is my prayer. Ben is a gorgeous child and wonderful gift from God.

Comments Tom, Jennifer, Eli & Big Ben, Just wanted to write a quick note to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers hourly. We would like to do more but since what you said you need most right now is prayer--you have it from our family. Love and prayers always, David, Amy, Claire and Michael Ashworth ps Michael is 4yrs old and at the end of his "regular" prayers I ask him who needs a special prayer and everynight he says "Rachel and Big Ben."

Comments Ben's life has been and will continue to be a beautiful tapestry woven by God. Thank you for sharing him and your tremendous faith with all of us. I know I now hold my precious grandson closer and will cherish my new grandchild, due in August, even more because of Ben. I pray that you will all feel God's strong arms around you as you walk this difficult road; He is with you every step of the way. This poem means a lot to me and my family; I pray it is a reminder to you that God is still in control and has a plan for all our lives. THE WEAVER (author unknown) My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me; I cannot choose the colors; He worketh steadily. Oftimes He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride Forget He see the upper, and I the underside. Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why The dark threads are as needful In the Weaver's skillful hand As the threads of gold and silver In the pattern He has planned.

Comments bowen family, i am not sure whether or not you will remember me. i was one of the first nurses that took care of ben at st. jude. i left in sept. when i got married and am now living in atlanta. i think about you guys often and check your website every now and again. i want you to know that i continue to pray for your family. i am so sorry to read of what is going on right now (for your sake). i know at this point you are just ready for him not to suffer any more. his spirit is amazing. your faith is encouraging. you are so right that God has great plans for his life. not only to carry him home, but to those on this earth so desperately in need of a savior. thank you for being so bold to openly share your story. i will continue to pray for you. you are an encouragement to me. know that i think about you often. -morgan (smith) hayes

Comments I pray for your continued strength. May God grant you all peace. May he also comfort you all in the coming days ahead. Please don't let the harsh words from others get to you. You are right. There are certantly much better days ahead for Ben and for you all. My sister in law (who lost her mother to brain cancer this past Christmas) said something that I will always remember as I struggle mentally with the question "why". She explained, "we go through life as Christians trying to be like Christ so that in the end we will be with him, but we fight so hard not to get there". Heaven is our ultimate gift. Continue to be strong in your faith. Our continued prayers are with you.

Comments The story of your son has greatly touched my life. On a day when I felt like I could no longer handle the stress of work and school. I have found new motivation to continue on in my study of pediatric oncology. May god bless you and your entire family
