I just
wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and
your family. The story of your son Ben has touched me so much. A
co-worker where I work was telling me about what is going on. I wish you
all the best of luck and even though I dont know you, I feel now as
though I do. I love you all and I hope that God continues to bless you
as he has done so far. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you at
this moment. Keep your heads up, and keep believing in Him, that he may
help you during the hard times you are experiencing. If you EVER need
someone to talk to feel free to email me. I love you all, and Ben you as
well. Love Jennifer W. ~-~Hugs~-~

Tom,
Jennifer, Big Ben and Eli - I haven't ever posted, but do check in on
you every day and do pray for you. I can't imagine the pain that you are
in, but i'm sure i can't fathom the depths of some of the joy that
you've experienced either. Seems that suffering and joy somehow go hand
in hand. It seems that God has been giving you the grace to get through
each moment, and I'm praying that you'll continue to know that grace and
peace. In Christ, Kari and family (Gordie, Elizabeth, Andrew and Alex)

Big Ben -
We are praying for God to take your pain away...I hope this prayer is
answered soon. You are so brave and strong...and so are Eli and your
mommy and daddy. We wish only the best for all of you. We will continue
to pray for your miracle. God bless you all...we love you. I can't wait
to read about Ben presenting that check...I know it's going to happen.
Love - Diane & Ryan

I find
myself oblivious at times to what is going on around me. That if you do
not have your eyes open, then you can never see true beauty. I have been
fortunate that Isaiah has done so well and survived much longer than
anticipated. We continue to believe he will make it and that God will
deliver a miraculous healing. It pains me to read of Ben's deteriorating
condition, but it puts my mind where it should be. There is a battle
going on and we all need come together and ask God to give us the
weapons to fight back, and right now prayer is that weapon. Pray, pray,
and pray some more.

"Bind the
sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar" ( Psalm 118:27 ). You
must be willing to be placed on the altar and go through the fire;
willing to experience what the altar represents-burning, purification,
and separation for only one purpose-the elimination of every desire and
affection not grounded in or directed toward God. But you don’t
eliminate it, God does. You "bind the sacrifice . . . to the horns of
the altar" and see to it that you don’t wallow in self-pity once the
fire begins. After you have gone through the fire, there will be nothing
that will be able to trouble or depress you. When another crisis arises,
you will realize that things cannot touch you as they used to do. What
fire lies ahead in your life?
Tell God you are ready to be poured out as an offering, and God will
prove Himself to be all you ever dreamed He would be.
-Oswald Chambers

Are you
ready to be poured out as an offering? It is an act of your will, not
your emotions. Tell God you are ready to be offered as a sacrifice for
Him. Then accept the consequences as they come, without any complaints,
in spite of what God may send your way. God sends you through a crisis
in private, where no other person can help you. From the outside your
life may appear to be the same, but the difference is taking place in
your will. Once you have experienced the crisis in your will, you will
take no thought of the cost when it begins to affect you externally. If
you don’t deal with God on the level of your will first, the result will
be only to arouse sympathy for yourself.

Oh, I do
not have words of wisdom or words that can comfort you. I just had to
post just to let you know how sorry I am that Ben is suffering like
this. I wish I could take the pain for him. He is still in my prayers as
are you. Love, Laura

Everyday
since you were on the news in Memphis in November I have entered your
website to see how I can pray for you and your family. My heart has been
broken because of the pain that you are enduring and the pain of your
family. My heart has been blessed by the strength that your sweet
parents have demonstrated. It is only from a strong foundational faith
that they can even walk through these days. My prayer is that God will
provide the peace that passes all understanding and will hold each of
you so close to Him that you can feel Him breathe His sweet peace on
you. Please know how much I have grown to love you and your family and I
will keep you each in my prayers daily. ~ Stacy

Once
again, words escape me. I want to be as brave as Tom and Jennifer and
have as much faith as you display. It's hard not to question and wonder.
I know God has a plan, but the comprehension of it is too difficult for
me to absorb. I pray for your peace and emotional well being. I also
pray for comfort for Ben and grace for Eli to understand as much as he
can. You are a beautiful family! In Him, Angela Bennett

Tom,
Jennifer, Eli, and Ben - May God's peace be with you tonight. I can't
even begin to imagine the pain that you all are experiencing right now;
however, I can see from the postings to your sight that through your
pain so many are being healed. Although this doesn't help to heal your
pain it should be a testimony that everything that you are going through
is not in vain. Ben and your family have touched more people than you
will ever know. I truly believe that God puts some of his Angels on this
earth for a while and Ben is definitely one of his chosen Angels. Thank
you for your awesome spirit, faith, and never ending hope. You are an
inspiration!

To watch
your child suffer in pain and be helpless is the most gutwrenching place
to be in. My heart is absolutly breaking.
Dear
heavenly father I come to you again in the wee hours of this morning.
Bens pain is unmeasurable father. Wrap him up in your arms of comfort.
Please father take this babys pain away. He has suffered so much
already. No more. Please father, let your will be done.
Give
Tom and Jennifer strength. Whisper softly to Eli so he knows you love
him and Ben.
I Love
you guys
Praying

At times,
I sit with fingers poised over the keyboard. In my heart at such a loss
of words, so much so that prayer MUST be said before typing can begin.
How to convey the love, how to stir up hope, how to uplift when in the
natural there could be nothing more difficult than where you are now. I
know that we must not lean on our own understanding for understanding
escapes us now. With each entry, may you hear what He uses us to say
deep in your spirit. Today, it's that He loves you, He cares, He
understands, and He has new mercy for you for today. We love you, T&N

Dearest
Bowens, I find myself lost for words once again. I just can't imagine
what your facing right now with your precious little boy. My heart
breaks to think of Ben suffering from this terrible disease and to
imagine what your going through. I know you would take his pain in a
heartbeat. We all would if we could. Hold tight to your faith. With the
Lord by your side, you will get through this. Ben, I hate to see you
this way......I love you sweet angel and I pray that God's will be done.
Tom and Jen, your family is such a blessing to the world. I pray that
the Heavenly Father wraps you up in his love and gives you peace,
comfort, and rest. Still believing and thinking of you so warmly
today............

Having
just lost our brother, we understand. The pain that sucks your breathe
away, and the unexplanable comfort that God gives...it's all in one.
Listen to Kyle Matthews song "Been through the water" - it says it so
well.

I come to
Ben's site daily, but dont ever think I have ever signed the guestbook.
I just wanted you to know that I am praying for your family. Reading the
journal entries, I cant help but think of Lazarus and how when he died,
his sisters were so heart broken. They knew the answer was to seek Jesus
and that's what they did. Even though (to everyone else) it seemed he
arrived three days late, Martha knew that "Even Now" he was in control
of the situation. I look what your all going through and realize, "Even
Now" God is good and he is in control. You will never be able to
understand how your struggle has touched me and made me seek God's
wisdom when I just dont understand. Always know, that someone, somewhere
is praying for the Bowen family. God is good.

I'm
praying for your family. My family lost our 5-year-old cousin to
leukemia last summer, and he had a similar webpage where we could see
updates on his condition. Praying for Eli and Hannah, too.

Tom and
Jennifer, oh how we love you guys and pray for you daily (multiple
times). Know that we believe in God and his great love. We are still
praying and believe in a God that does miracles. In what way he will
manifest it, we're not sure, but we do believe. We do pray for wisdom
and comfort. Much continued love.
