Eli, I
hope that one day when you are old enough to understand, your mom and
dad will sit down with you and read each of these entries. You know, the
Lord must love you an awful lot. Because in your short life you have
been exposed to and introduced to much more than most of us will have to
deal with in a lifetime. We also know the Lord will not give you
anything you can't handle. I pray that you will continue to reach out to
others as you share your brother's story the rest of your life. God

Tom,
Jennifer, and Eli, God is good, all the time! He has used your family in
a mighty way and has kept you in his arms throughout a year that none of
us can ever understand. Our prayers are continually with you all. Our
church, Bethesda in Ona, also continues to lift you up to God in our
prayers. We have a new ministry in the church that is called a prayer
shawl ministry - and we have made a shawl for you and Jennifer, as well
as one for Eli. We need to get these to you --- but we need your help.
Would you like them delivered by mail, left at your church, or brought
to your home. Many hours of prayer have gone into both shawls and it is
our hope that God's love, peace, and comfort can be felt when you touch,
wear, or even look at the shawl. May God continue to heal your hearts

It is
great to see others are seeing how Great Bens story is and how great his
short life was. You guys sound well. Eli sounds like he is maturing and
growing into a great little man. It is exciting to see what he will
bring to the world. Hope Jennifer is feeling well and is getting plently
of rest. I have been checking in on the three newest soliders who need
an extra prayer. They have mine. Stay well Hug Jen and Eli for me.

been reading your website for months and cried with you when you lost
Ben. In fact my students were inspired to help me collect money to send
to St. Jude's in his honor. I am so happy about your new baby. I know
that it will NEVER fill the void that Ben has left in your life. But,

It's been
too long since I have posted here, but I just read the 6/1 update that
discussed Eli, and I wanted to commend you guys for the painstaking
attention you have paid to Eli's growth and well-being in the midst of
this past year. Your parenting is truly God-led and inspiring. As Hilton
and I await the birth of our two boys (who will hopefully come later
rather than sooner!!), we are trying to absorb and learn as much as we
can about raising kids. What an example you and Jennifer have set. Thank
you for continuing to share your lives with us.
