If Ben's
legacy and purpose in life as well as in death is to lead others to a
relationship with God, then please know that his story as told through
your words has begun to open my heart to new spiritual desires and
possibilities. I fell away from church and God several years ago, and I
keep feeling a "tug" from something. My husband and I will be trying a
church this coming Sunday together for the first time; we've been
married 3 years now and have 3 middle-school age children that we'll be
taking with us. I do believe it is safe to say that Big Ben is having a
positive impact on this mother's heart. Take care, and please know that
you are in my thoughts and prayers...yes - I've begin praying again!
Thank you for your painful but ever so hopeful honesty and insights that
you so generously share with the world. You are a very special family

Family - I've been keeping up with Ben's Story since about Oct. of last
year (read about you on Matt Warren's site) but have never taken time to
sign the guest book. I, like the 1000's of others, have been so greatly
affected by the story and I've shared your site with many people. When I

Please know you are never far from our thoughts and our prayers. We are
praying for God's wisdom with the decisions you have to make about your
future. I can't imagine the empty spot that has been left in your heart

and what an incredible little man he was. He was truly beyond his years

Tom: As a
encouragement I want to share the most memorable moment that I have
viewed. In November, when you gave your testimony and shared your story
at a RC3 service. First the reading of Jobe 1 as your carried Ben was
powerful enough but how it all tied to your visual of the "Firehose" and
how it was used as a "LifeLine" for the firemen and the challenge to all
in attendance of Do You have a Firehose (Lifeline). I was in awe on how
God was working thru you at that moment . Out of this past year, that is
the one story I share with friends, family and strangers alike. The Word
of God, is at our fingertips and it is and it can be a LifeLine. How
powerful a statement God made thru you that Sunday morning.

Hi
Bowens, I'm sure you guys get a lot of support through the website
already. I have been following your story since November when I got
involved in Dance Marathon here at the University of Iowa. It’s a
program with our children's hospital that raises money for children
fighting cancer here in Iowa. I wore my Big Ben bracelet to the 24 hour
marathon (Feb.4-5) and prayed for you guys continuously throughout it. I
have also grieved with you guys as Ben went home to be with our Lord.
Over Easter I went home to my church in Barrington, Illinois. Our
service was about the Hope that God's given us on by dying on the cross
and conquering death. Anyway one of our teaching pastors talked about
death and losing a loved one. I am losing a dad right now to a heroin
addiction, and found this service so meaningful. On the church website
there is a link to Mike Breaux’s portion of the short message and a link
below it to a song a guy from our vocal ministry wrote about heaven
“What a Day it Will Be”. I felt God prompting me to share i
