I am sure
you know that my career as a web-stalker is going strong, and that I
check on (and think about) you all the time. But just in case, please
know that you are on our minds, and in our broken hearts, constantly.

hi tom
jennifer and eli, i am so sorry i missed you when you came to visit at
children's hospital. I wanted to see you all very much. I had left a
message at work for them to call me when you were at children's and
noone called me. i had gotten you a card and wanted to give it to you
when you came since we don't have your address. I'll hold on to it and
hopefully get to see you next time when you come into town. Ben touched
my life in a way that no other patient or person for that fact has. he
taught me so much and i will never forget that. I love dhis smile and
beautiful big eyes, as I mentioned before I have a 2 year old and I
think whenever you have a patient that is that same age as one of your
own childern is seems to hit you harder. Your family has been an
inspiration to many people and I thank you for sharing ben and your
story with all of us. Again I am sorry that I did't have the chance to
tell you this in person. take care of yourselves and eli enjoy your time
together and God Bless you all. kelli rn

Ask my
Mom how she is My Mom, she tells alot of lies she never did before. From
now until she dies, she'll tell a whole lot more. Ask my Mom how she is
and because she can't explain, She will tell a little lie because she
can't describe the pain. Ask my Mom how is she, She'll say "I'm
alright." If that's the truth, then tell me, why does she cry each
night? Ask my Mom how is she, she seems to cope so well. She didn't have
a choice you see nor the strength to yell. Ask my Mom how she is, "I'm
fine, I'm well, I'm coping." For Gods sake Mom, just tell the truth just
say your heart is broken. She'll love me all her life, I loved her all
of mine. But if you ask her how is she she'll lie and say she's fine. I
am here in Heaven. I cannot hug from here. If she lies to you don't
listen, Hug her and hold her near. On the day we meet again, we'll smile
and I'll be bold. I'll say, "You're lucky to get in here, Mom with all
the lies you told!" -unknown

As I set
here,I find it hard to put into words what I want to say to your family.
I think of you everyday. I pray that you feel comfort, and I pray for
strength. I can not imagine the hurt you are feeling, and my heart aches
for your family. Ben was such a brave boy, he is physically gone from
earth but his memory will live on. His story has inspired me so much, my
love and faith in God is so much stronger. I too wear my Big Ben
wristband with pride and I love it when someone asks me about it. Even
though I have a hard time telling the story without getting emotional
everyone seems so touched by it. Tom, Jennifer and Eli I will keep you
in my prayers....

I finally
got the guestbook to work. I sent you an email on Wed. to let you know
that I was thinking of you, but I was unable to post to the questbook. I
just returned from St. Jude and we finally got a good report. McKinley's
eyes are both stable. The left still has some active tumor but the
threat of returning on chemo or external beam is gone for now. I was
relieved. Please give us a call when you are up to company. Do you have
the picture of Ben and McKinley kissing where you could email it to me?
I am making a scrapbook of our St. Jude experience and I would love to
include that one. Oh, before I forget. On May 14th at Chief Logan State
Park we are going to have St. Jude Walk a thon and I would love to do it
memory of Ben and in honor of McKinley. Always in my prayers. Love you!

Dearest
Bowen family, You have been in my thoughts often, my prayers always. I
pray for God to give you strength. I pray for young Eli to be ok and
always remember the good times he spent with his beautiful brother. I
received my Big Ben wristband (well, it has become my Big Ben ankleband
since it was a bit big ;) last week and I wear it proudly, always
thinking of the sweet smile your little guy had. His story has changed
the lives of so many people. He will never be forgotten. Much love and
many prayers.... ~Mel

I came to
Ben's story very late in the game but have had the chance to read
through your site in these last few days. I am so very sorry for your
loss. Each night I hold my son a little closer in my arms and am
thankful for his presence. I admire your strength and courage and the
love you have for your children. I hope that you find a way to carry on
Ben's memory - he was a lucky boy to have parents like you (and a
brother like Eli) in his time on earth. He was well loved.

Still
thinking of you so often. I still check the updates every day to see how
you are doing. I miss hearing about Ben. But just because he is gone
doesn't mean the story is over. I know you will continue to encourage
and minister to people for a very long time to come. Always in my
thoughts and prayers, Anita.

Dearest
Bowens - Just wanted to say what an impact Big Ben has made on my life;
I treasure each day a little more with my two boys and husband. I think
of Big Ben and your family many times a day. Each time I say a prayer
for you - that God watch over you and that you be comforted. People in
this world were probably not aware of all the children with cancer and
other life-threatening illnesses - I know I didn't realize the multitude
until I became aware of "Ben's Story". I pray that each family be
comforted and feel peace with God. There's a song that says "God is in
Control" - no matter what the situation - this is so true. Thanks for
sharing your lives and a very special little boy named "Big Ben" with us
- Extra love to Eli - he's a special "Big Brother".

Dear Tom
and Jennifer, Only when you stand before Jesus Christ and hear Him say
"well done my faithful servant" will you know the hearts and lives that
you and your family has touched during this time of sorrow. Only then
you will be able to sing not "It Will Be Worth It All" but you will be
able to sing "It Was Worth It All." You will never know on this side of
Heaven the prayers, the tears or the lives that has been changes for the
cause of Christ. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. We love you and will continue to
pray for you and yours. Bob and Brenda Roller

Special
prayers are said every night in my home for your entire family during
this time. Through Ben, I plan to teach my 16 month old son about God. I
already show him Ben's picture on the website and he smiles and says
"bay-bee"...what a true gift ben IS and ALWAYS will be to this world.
Extra special prayers today for little Eli...we are all thinking of you
In God, Megan

Hello
Tom, Jennifer and Eli, I just wanted to let you all know that you
continue to be in my thoughts and prayers daily. I don't know what God
has in store for you in the next leg of this journey but my prayer is
that you would continue to know His comfort and peace in the transition.
May He continue to give you all the strength to daily surrender
yourselves into His care and plan. I love you all very much and again
say that if you need ANYTHING you know where I am. In His Boundless and
Gracious Love, Wanda J. Caldwell

I pray
that your time together will help Eli, I have been praying for him a lot
I feel sad for him. He has grown up, and seen things most adults don't
see. I hope it was okay we sent him a little package I hope you got it.
It was just our way of saying we were thinking of him and love what your
family has done to ours. We seem closer and My husband and I seem to be
more patient with the kids, even though the terrible 2's are there.
Thank you for letting us into your family and I pray all is well. Love
Laurie Todd Alisyn (2) and Trevor (11 months)

Tom,
Jennifer, and Eli, Still praying for you every day and thinking of you
often. I hope you are able to enjoy your time these past few days and
help each other through this difficult time. Without ever having met
Ben, I miss him and can't imagine what you are all going through. I pray
for you and for little Eli. At night I look up at the stars and imagine
Big Ben giggling and playing in the clouds, watching over all of you
with his magical smile on his face. My heart goes out to you and my
prayers will continue. God bless you.

I've
already written in your guest book once, but I wanted to drop a note to
say that I am thinking of you all everyday. I can't imagine how your
hearts are aching and I pray for you all daily to help you through this
tough time. Ben knew how much he was cared for and loved by his
wonderful family and for that, he was comfortable. He is pain free and
will wait to see you all again in Heaven. My little girl is almost 6
months old and when she gets older, she will hear Ben's story and hear
what a genuine Angel he was and how strong he was (and his story still
is). He was a very special little boy and I will NEVER forget him or you
all and I will share this story with my daughter. My prayers are with
you everyday! God Bless you all and little Eli!
