Dearest
Bowens, Just finished reading your current update. Indeed, with Gods
grace you WILL carry on! Isn't His love amazing! I look at people who
have not opened their hearts to Him and often wonder how in the world
they make it through each day! I know I couldn't do it! It lifts my
heart to know that although you have lost the physical presense of sweet
Ben you are comforted in knowing that he has Won the Battle! Thank you
for being such an inspiration... For proving that Gods grace can over
come anything! I continue to pray for your family and will always hold
you close to my heart. Patricia Scott

I'm so
very sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers. Ben has inspired so many and
is making such a difference for St. Jude. His life although brief was
definitely "Big".

MR BOWEN
...I KNOW OF WHAT YOU SPEAK...MY FATHER PASSED AWAY 10 YEARS AGO WITH
CANCER...I CRIED SO MUCH WHEN HE DIED..AT THE FUNERAL HIS PASTOR SPOKE
OF HOW MY FATHER HAD TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS READY TO SEE JESUS...AND MY
HEART AND SOUL BECAME SO CALM...MY FRIENDS THOUGHT I WAS IN DENIAL
BECAUSE I WAS SO HAPPY THAT DAD WAS FREE OF PAIN AND THAT HE WAS WITH
OUR LORD...I STILL MISS HIM DEARLY BUT I HAVE THE REASSURANCE THAT ONE
DAY I WILL SEE MY EARTHLY FATHER SITTING WITH "OUR HEAVENLY FATHER...THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST"...and by the way i have had that dessert that you
spoke of and i to remember how i ejoyed every little bit of it...just
like God's love....you must enjoy every taste that God gives you...THANK
YOU FOR SHARING YOURSELF WITH US! GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

I was
just thinking about Big Ben tonight as I have hundreds of times before.
He has changed my life. I have a 22 mos old little boy also named Ben
and I now look at him in a different way. I always knew I was blessed to
have him but Big Ben's story has made me want to love him and hold him
tighter even more than before. My husband has even noticed a difference
in me. I no longer nag and gripe about housework or bills. There are so
many other important things going on that nagging about housework is
petty. Big Ben has made me realize that life is a gift and it is
precious and for this I will always think about him and your family.

Hello
Tom, Jennifer, and Eli, Please know that you all remain in our thoughts
and prayers. When we return from Costa Rica, the first thing I did was
check this website to see if Ben was still with us and he was.... I
posted and that evening Ben went home to be with our Father. I miss him
so much.... but, know that he is in the very presence of God. I don't
know if you will ever be able to understand the extent of how Ben and
all of you have touched my life... it will never again be the same. My
granddaughter is 10 years old and a cancer survivor... she was only 10
months old when she was diagnosed with a whilms tumor. Even though I had
been a minister for several years... my granddaughter's cancer drew me
closer to God than I thought was possible while still living. And Ben
and each of you have brought me even closer. Thank you so very much. God
bless you all. Much love. Believing, Ruth

What an
amazing family!!! Your story has been an inspiration to me. I will be
making my first visit to ST. Jude's on Monday with the University of
Louisiana at Monroe's executive council for Up 'til Dawn, a university
fundraising organization for the JUDE. I have some dear friends there
now with their three year old, Jake Raborn, and I cannot imagine the
pain that either family is enduring. I too say CARRY ON. You have an
amazing voice for our AWESOME GOD and HE is using you in a mighty way!!!

Dear
Bowen family: Our paths have never crossed in this life, but my wife and
I felt that we needed to let you know that there are people praying for
you folks in Point Pleasant.I know that words are so hard to come by at
a time like this. So just know that you are being lifted up to our God
and Father in prayer and know that you are loved. In the days ahead, may
you find rest and peace in knowing that your little Ben is safely
resting in the arms of the Lord. And know that by the word and example
of your testimony, that you will see him again one day. May God truly
bless you and your family. Bob and Adria Patterson

I just
love you all so much. All day Tuesday, my heart was heavy and hurting.
And Tuesday night, I couldn't stop crying when I looked at my prayer
list and, at the top, as it had been for almost a year, was Ben's name.
I remember telling Adam on Tuesday, "I just ache to do something to bear
part of this burden for Tom and Jennifer--to do something to make it
less painful." Adam consoled me by saying that Ben wasn't "built" to
live past 27 months: God wasn't surprised at all that Ben got sick and
went to be with Him because that was His intention from the day that Ben
was conceived. Our pain came from not being "in" on the plan until Ben
was half-way through his life and remembering the times when God let us
believe Ben would be here much longer. More comfort came to me when I
read your latest post. It was like the Lord whispered to me, "It's going
to be okay. I'm taking care of them; as much as it seems like they're
bearing this burden, really I'm the one who is." It hurts us less to
know that you're continuing to rec

precious
bowen family...i have recently found your website through allie scott's
mom, jenny. she had asked us to pray for you and provided a link to your
site. i am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet boy. my youngest
is just a few months older than ben...my heart aches for you but i
rejoice, with you, that your little one is now pain free and sitting
peacefully at the feet of our savior!! i marvel at how you have given
praise, honor and glory to our savior in the midst of your pain and
suffering. what an amazing lord we serve...one who is comforting you and
WITh you now. my prayers will be with you and your family. take care and
know that you are loved and cared for. your son has a purpose, a higher
purpose...his short life was not lived in vain. i have recently
completed a study by beth moore called BELIEVING GOD...so much of what
you said makes me think you, too, have gone through this study. if not,
it might be of particular comfort to you now. seeking him...and
BELIEVING him, too....kristen heard

I have
been following Ben's story for some time now after learning of you from
the McIlraths, who are my husband's Niece and husband. I just want you
to know we've been praying for you and will contine to. I just finished
reading a book I'd like to recommend to you, by Randy Alcorn, called
Headline. It has the most wonderful view of what Heaven would be like,
and I think you would find it very comforting to read. Of course the
last Narnia book would also do that. We will continue to keep you in our
prayers, especially little Eli. We have 3 small grandchildren so our
hearts go out to both of you. God be with you.

is gone, but my heart sings when I think of how great it must be where
he is.

Tom,
Jennifer & Eli: I want you to know that the testimony of your lives and
of Ben's life gives me the encouragement to continue in the race, & not
to give up on the Lord. To trust Him despite the circumstances, and as
you have stated, "to depend" upon the Lord and to live in His grace
every moment. Thank you for sharing His story through your lives. I will
continue to pray for your family. Pat :)

Was glad
to see an update on the web sight. What a statement. CARRY ON!! 2 words
with so much meaning. So happy to hear about the peace you and Jennifer
are feeling. Praying that the peace will continue. Unless you have
walked in someone's shoes, you really can't know how they feel. You can
only imagine and that's an understatement. God be with you this day and
always. Hang in there Eli. As you said Tom, CARRY ON!!!!!! GOD IS GOOD
AND FAITHFUL ALL THE TIME!!!

Not many
people would know what to say to you and your family. A man of few words
couldn’t have said anything more. Carry on and that you will. It is
wonderful that you are at peace. You wouldn’t be if God didn’t love you
and he has showed you just how much. With your loss of Ben and the
reflections you have on life in the last year will bring tears, smile
and many ideas on how to help others in Ben’s name. You will do great
things to honor your son. One desert and a coach bring you to a place
that produced such a powerful message. I can wait to see what else you
he will help us to see. Sending much love and prayers. Big hugs to Jen
and Eli for me. Take care.

Thank you
for sharing in your most recent post. What wisdom and truth in those
words! Thanking and praising God for clearly answering so many prayers
and for his goodness being so clear and evident through all of this and
always. May you continue to know that peace and calm that can only be
known with absolute belief and certainty in the truth and relity of who
He is and what He has done. Continued prayers for you all and for Eli as
you do indeed carry on -- surely shining God'd truth and love on the
way. God bless you dear ones...love you and miss you Ben! With hope and
faith...believing!
