A friend
(Tonya Wiersma)from back home (Scott Depot, WV) forwarded the website
and asked for everyone in her address book to pray for this brave,
beautiful, bright little man. I received this at work, and was only able
to read a couple of excerpts, but your entire family and the St. Jude
medical staff are permenant fixtures on my prayer list and in my heart.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that there are no words I can offer
right now to fully express how sorry I am that your family has to endure
such a wicked time, but in the same moment, I am sitting at my desk w/ a
huge, involuntary smile by looking @ Ben and Eli's beautiful and
infectious smiles! This is a true smack in my face that I need to quit
griping about the work piling up on my desk and the dust on the
furniture, and not having enough of whatever I feel I'm missing out on.
You are so gracious to put all of these personal, extremely difficult
memos from your private lives out for the whole world to read, if only
to touch someone...it has to be one of the most

Dear
Bowen family- I recently accepted an invitation to join a prayer chain &
you are the 1st that I have been asked to pray for. I have been looking
over your website & I am so touched by the beauty of your family, your
pictures say so much about you. I have 4 children & Tom I do hug them
every night & I do thank God for their health. I pray for each & every
one of you & the other people is your life who are blessed to know you &
who are also affected by this. My Mom is a cancer survivor but I did
lose my Grandfather to cancer when I was small but I am comforted to
know that he is in Heaven, working with God for people like you. God
bless your darling little boys & God bless you. I do trust God immensely

I have
entered this website from the Promise keepers site. I was at the Memphis
conference down near the stage. I think one of the most moving
experiences in my life was standing and cheering when they announced
your family. Reading Ben's story brings tears to my eyes, not of
sadness, but because of how God is able to work in any situation. My

Though I
do not know you or Ben I have become so attached to your little boys. I
have to say as a person who doesn't know your son or any of the other
children I am praying for, I too wonder "WHY" the little ones Lord. It
breakes my heart every time I read about the little ones earning their
angel wings, and those left behind to cope. But I keep praying and
believing because of my hope in Jesus. God Bless your family as you walk

Dear Tom
& Jennifer, There are no words that I can give you that can offer
comfort in this time of suffering, but there is comfort in His word and
in His book. The Apostle Paul reminds us; Blessed be God, even the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of
all comfort. II Corinthians 1:3 I give the example of Paul because II
Corinthians is what I think of everytime I read an update about Big Ben
and see YOUR UNWAIVERING FAITH. Pauls story is about the ability to
minister no matter what the circumstance. This is the story that your
family lives daily. The countless people that follow this story see
daily that even as your plate is full, you take the time to "minister"
those around you, offering comfort and support and prayer. Our Father
will cure Ben of this horrible tumor, maybe not the way we would wish,
but cure. But his life has been a huge success, even if it was to bring
one person to his knee's and experience The Glory Of God! Hang in there
and continue to believe, and remember the vast number

As I set
here reading Ben's update, my heart aches for him and his family. I do
know what you all are going through. All I have to offer are my prayers
that GOD touches and heals Ben and that he keeps your family strong and
focused. I noticed you asked GOD why Ben, I dont know that you will ever
find that answer, and we are not supposed to ask why, but I myself have
asked that question about my grandson Zane. For the longest time I was
angry at GOD, angry becaues I prayed for GOD to give this terrible thing
to me and not these little babies, even though I got angry, GOD never
left me , he allowed me to get angry, he allowed me to ask why, and to
cry, and even to try to find someone to blame, but there was no one to
blame, and then GOD comforted me, and reminded that he is still there,
and he is still working miracles. As long as we keep our faith, God will
keep us. We dont know what he has in mind for these babies, and only GOD
knows the outcome, but what I do know is that these babies touch peoples
lives and hearts, they bring out

A dear
friend of ours was born with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Her parents were
told that the odds of her surviving to age 2 were slim to none. She
spent those first 2 years of her life living in a hospital, and sadly,
her parents never took a picture of her. Now, at age 32, she relishes
every moment of her life with her doting husband, taking lots of
pictures of their beautiful (adopted) daughter and spending quality time
with a great number of friends and family members who have all been
blessed to be able to witness the truly miraculous life of an incredibly
vivacious and courageous woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, as
we know the sad and scary times we have struggled through with our
friend... we couldn't even begin to imagine if it were one of our
children.
