I don't

especially Ben and Eli (so young to have to contemplate such heavy
things as the death of your best friend and your brother's grave
illness!). Your faith continues to amaze me, and I know that you will be

I am so
happy that Ben is recovering so quickly! What a miracle!! Like you said
- "God is GREAT". I will pray that Ben's tumor does not grow and I will
continue to pray for my red-headed buddy, Eli and the both of you.

Dear Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and Big Ben, God is an AWESOME GOD and He is so GOOD!!
Praise The Lord that only such a short time after his surgery, that Ben
is sitting up and smiling and signing. It was so great to hear this
news. Prayers are uplifted still for Ben that the tumor will shrink, and
the Miracle of Healing will continue. I had Ben added to my church
prayer chain too. Prayers still uplifted for the family and Eli for
comfort and peace knowing that God is at work in Ben. God Bless All, and
have a Blessed weekend.

Jennifer & Family, We met back in March in the courtyard at St. Jude's.
We were visiting Alethea, our 1 year old niece fighting Leukemia at St.
Jude's. Tom, our common life experience was our service to the Fire
Department which I believe is what allowed us to connect for a bit at
St. Judes Target House courtyard. And that St. Jude's grandmother who
you quote on Ben's website is Alethea's grandmother. Anyway, I wanted to
just touch base again to tell you that we continue to pray for Ben and
your family. We've appreciated your website to keep up with what's
happening. Our prayer is for Ben's healing and I know that will
happen--if not this side of heaven than the other. What a battle Tom &
Jennifer. I can't imagine what it must be like. I am so encouraged
though that you know in whom you can find your comfort. One of the
confessions that our church holds in high regard says, "My only comfort
in life and in death is that I am not my own but belong...in life and in
death...to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ

a picture of Ben to school this friday, she has to have 3 things about
to take to school to show the class. Things she enjoys and family and

Tom, Eli, and Ben. I love you and am praying for God's plan and purpose
to be fulfilled in Ben. Amazing, the God who created the universe has
such a special love for one so little. He dispenses His grace and mercy
daily on your little one. Praying for your strength and that God's Holy
Spirit put a hedge around you to protect you and uphold you. Praying for
Eli. The emotional pain that one so young is enduring. "Let us then with
confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy

I have an
email prayer group called Sheltering Trees. Please know that there are
about 30 of us who are sending up lots of prayers for Big Ben, and for
you, his family. One of or prayer group members is Tina who is a member
of the same church Hanna's family belongs to,so I am sure you met. Tina
is currently off line because she is in between jobs, but we learned
about both Hanna and Ben through her, and now are receiving updates from
her friend, Kelly. Please know that you have lots of people from coast
to coast are praying for Ben and for all of you for his healing, and for
your strength and courage needed at this time. Thank you so much for
sharing Ben's story here. Both he and his little friend Hanna have
touched the lives of all who visit these pages. We can only believe that
God will now touch your lives with His strength, courage and knowledge

I don't
even have the right words to explain how you all have impacted my life.
I know that they say that you never know how will will be in a situation
until you go through that situation but I have never see the incredible
faith that you all have displayed. Jennifer, I have only met you a
couple of times but Tom I have known you for a long time and you never
change. Strong, encouraging, and most of all faithful. My friend and I
were talking today and she made a very good point. She said that you are
the one that seems to be encouraging to everyone when we should be the
ones encouraging you. What an awesome inspiration you are. A day does
not go by where I don't think of you all. You make me want to be a
better person, a better mother, and most of all a better Christian.
Through Bens story so many lives have changed. I can't wait until the
day Big Ben is standing and giving his story of how many people he
saved. He is going to be like this because of his wonderful parents and
because of the AWESOME God that we serve.

I work in
the gift shop at Le Bonheur and I got a chance to talk with Ben's dad on
Friday August 13. After talking with him I became very emotional and
concerned. I have been praying for Ben and his family. Today I became
very concerned about Ben and decided to visit his web site. I am off on
weekends but I still have this little boy on my mind that I have never
met. I am praying for Ben and I hope he gets a chance to visit the gift

difference a day makes--hooray, little Big Ben!!! His post-op recovery
is truly remarkable, miraculous even. I'm way happier than a guestbook
comment can reflect. Joy, and thanks be to God! I not only see God
working through your precious Ben, but through all of the Bowens as
