Hello
Bowen Family. I am sorry to hear that you are in the fighting mode
again. But God never closed one door without opening a window. And right
now I want to write to you something that gives me strenth when all hope
is lost. "Lord help me to remember that you are always there-listening
to my heart, hearing every prayer. With you no problems hopeless, no
concern's to small, Because we're precious in you sight-You love us, One
and ALL." That is my favorite, but here is another one... Trust in the
Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In
all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will make your paths straight. I
thought it might be a nice way to say Keep the Faith. WE ARE ALL STILL
PRAYING.

Ben you are such an encouragement to so many people. You are so strong
and brave, I pray that God will give you the comfort, and peace you

Ah, Ben,
what a special light you are! I know your mommy and daddy wish so much
that you had been spared this physical trial. Such an insult to a
perfect little body. But through your story so many people have come to
see what an amazing family you have and how much of a difference one
person or one dollar can make. I surely will never understand why the
universe finds it necessary to do this to little children (or grownups,
for that matter). But in your story and in that of another little child,
Allie Scott, I have seen the true wonder of people coming together, in
word and deed, to change the way the world works. Someday, Big Ben,
mommies and daddies will not have to watch their children battle this
monster, and it will be in large part due to YOUR beautiful life. Peace

Dear Tom
and Jennifer, I recently heard a story on WEMM about times in our life
where we feel we need to take the reigns and "drive" our lives in our
own way, however there are times when we must let God take the reigns
and trust that he is taking full control of whatever the situation is.
Some things may seem too much to handle, but I am glad that God gives
you strength. I also pray you find comfort in the fact that regardless
the outcome, you never have to worry about Ben's well-being. I pray for
you both, I pray for Ben's peace and comfort from pain, and I hope you
will lean on God as you always have. Thank you both, and especially Big
Ben, for showing others that faith in God truly is a grace beyond words
or this world and its monsters. You all are in my prayers.

Alex came
running into the kitchen this morning. Ben’s on TV. I hope you are able
to meet and exceed your goal with this project. It is such a great
cause. I have emailed it to everyone I know. It is hard to believe one
year ago your lives were changed forever. The sickening news that your
child has cancer. The fight began. I hate were we are today with his
journey. I cannot imagine the last week let alone the last year for you
guys. There is a plan for us all. Just can’t see why it should be

Bowen family, As I recieved my latest St. Jude update letter yesterday
with the postcard picture of kids gathered around a Christmas tree with
the Christmas cards that Partners in Hope sent to the kids, I thought of
you. I thought of dear sweet Ben, whose story I first read in one of
those letters. I thought about finding your website soon after that I
reading about your family. Your truly remarkable family, who has done so
many good things...not just for Ben & Eli, but for so many others. I
admire your strength, courage, and pure determination to help Ben get
through this. I cannot imagine the pain it has brought you, especially
these last couple of weeks as this beast invades his little body trying
to break it down. It will never break down his spirit, I know. What a
