The
blessing of technology that will allow you to save all of these guest
book entries has captured something wonderful that later reflection will
reveal. Anyone following the updates & entries can’t help but see what
has unfolded. It makes me think of ‘the wave’ at a stadium. It starts
with some exuberant fan who enrolls those around him in the moment.
Little by little, other fans notice. When seen from across the stadium,
the beginning of a wave looks like little more than a disturbance. It
settles as quickly as it started. BUT the exuberant fan doesn’t give up.
With more enthusiasm, he starts again & his infectious glee spills over
on more people around him & the wave starts again. More people see the
commotion & start to catch that glee. A switch trips & suddenly you want
to see this wave make it all the way around the stadium. On about the
3rd try, section by section, it rolls. People who don’t even care about
the outcome of the game will be part of a wave because they almost can’t
help it.

Continued: There’s a sense of satisfaction when the wave is complete
that it made it & you were part of it, even if it was with a crowd of
strangers – you had a common goal. Two little arms raised up in West
Virginia & a gleeful smile said – Come On! This wave just continues to
go around the stadium and with every pass, more people are standing,
more arms are upraised. We started out standing for the Bowens, & while
we continue to stand for you & Ben, now you can see we’re also standing
for each other. All those who follow the updates/guest book have had a
journey. Hearts have been changed, relationships with God & our families
have grown, prayer lives have been rededicated, & faith has risen. It
all started with 2 little arms & an infectious smile. May this mighty
ministry one day give you peace. May God’s love, compassion & mercy
continue to hold you close today. We love you all, T&N

Dear
Heavenly Father, Give us wisdom AND Strength, let these wonderful people
feel your strong, loving arms around them and find rest knowing they are
in your powerful hands. In Your precious Son's name,AMEN If you want
store bought cookies - Chips Ahoy chewy chocolate chip or Famous Amos.
Nestle Toll House are still the best by far for any home made cookies.
(Hey Ben, Chocolate chips make me smile too) Tom, Jennifer, Eli, & Ben -
your faith and courage are an inspiration to anyone who reads your
story. We are praying for you to find the strength and wisdom you ask
for. Believing with you, Deb

Thinking
of you as a new day starts. Hoping you will find wisdom, peace, rest and
comfort. Writing with a heavy heart and imagining Ben's beautiful smile
as he takes over the chocolate chip cookies....Tom and Jen, keep
believing. God is in control. We can't even imagine what your going
through but know that your are loved by so many who care. Your story is
being lifted up in prayer around the world. We love you and pray God
will embrace you in his love today and all the days to come. Give Ben
xoxo's......With all my love.

I haven't
signed the guestbook in ahwile because words escape me when I think of
what to say. Ben is such a fighter, so it's hard to see him struggling.
I've never met him, but I feel like I've known him all my life!! It's
hard to believe that a two year old is having the impact on as many
lives as Ben is having...and certainly your family's faith is a
testimony too. I pray for you daily and think of you so many times
throughout each day. I am praying for comfort and God's abundant grace
to reign down on you. May you constantly feel His guidance with every
decision you make, and may you feel His love as you go through this
terrible time in your lives. God bless you!! In Christ, Angela Bennett

As I read
these latest updates, I am reminded of the two-year struggle that my
late husband had with cancer. One day, it got so bad, that I swore I
could not take it even one more day. I began to "stack hay" and count
each day after that day I thought was the worst day of all. I stacked
188 more days, and then my husband died. Ten years have past. Those 188
days don't pain me so much anymore. What I recall the most is how God
used me to help when my husband needed help the most, and I am grateful,
and proud. God bless you during these days. And P.S., the very best
chocolate chip cookies must be in heaven.

chocolate chip cookies continue to bring a smile to precious Ben's face.

I know
right now not a lot that is said can make you feel better, but just know
that there are thousands of people thinking of you and praying for you
daily. The first thing I do when I get to work is check your website and
it is also the last thing I do before I leave. I always hope there will
be an update, but am always nervous as to what you will have to say.
Even though I don't know your family I hurt for you daily and hope for a
miracle. Give Ben a big hug for me and Eli too!!

Dear Tom
and Jennifer: I have been praying for you ever since I happened on your
web site 8-9 weeks ago. We have journeyed through the loss of our 5
children. It was excructiating. It was strengthening, but words cannot
actually describe the hurt. Yet, we continue to say, on this side of the
journey, God is STILL good. We really can not imagine what it is like
for you to experience this agony after holding Ben in your arms for 2
years. Know (and believe) that God is on His throne and He still has
your best in mind. My husband and I can say that with confidence-- in
spite of our pain. Rest with the King.

Bowen
family you are in my prayers daily. I check the website for updates
multiple times each day. I have a 19 month old son and 3 year old son
and simply cannot imagine what you are going through. The strength of
your faith and your family is simply amazing. If God brings us to it, He
will bring us through it. We don't always understand how or why, but in
the end, He is good. I pray for blessings upon your family in any form
possible. Thank you for opening my eyes to the many blessings in my
life. Keep the faith.
