Dear Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and Ben, After reading your last update the only thing I
can do for you is pray right now. Dear Lord, please take your precious
sweet hands and lay them on this whole family right know. they need your
tender touch to comfort them and ease the pain they are all going
through. Thank you for all of the wonderful blessing you have given all
of us everyday of our lives. Please let the medicine help Ben so he does
not suffer. He is an angel and he needs to have peace and not be in any
pain. We love you dear Lord and praise you every day. Thank you in Jesus

cannot express any of my feelings in regards to your precious boy. I've
watched and read your daily journal entries, both good and bad.
Everytime I check in on your family I am amazed at your honesty, grace,
and faith. Please know I am sending up prayers morning, noon, and night.
I find myself waking up in the middle of the night and wondering how Big
Ben is doing. Each time a thought of Ben enters my mind, I always stop
what I'm doing and say a prayer, sometimes, in the middle of my
classroom, sometimes when I'm fixing dinner, sometimes when I'm reading
to my own two boys. I think of him often and how his battle has touched
and changed my life. I believe God has a bigger plan than any of us
understand. One day, when we're all in Heaven, we too, will know and
understand fully God's love and grace. Until then, I pray for patience,

Ben through my sister in law - Krissie. We pray for you all often. May

everyone, I wanted to let you know that I think of you and pray for you
daily. I know how hard these days are for you. It was so hard with
Hanna. I remember wanting to do everything for Tammy and David but yet,
not knowing what was truly needed. I wish I was there to organize
dinners, cleaning, taking care of Eli for you. I hope someone is doing
those for you because I know how much that meant to Tammy. Just to know
that she didn't even have to think about dinner was a blessing. And Eli,
just wanted to say hi to my special friend. Are you a duck? Are you
Mickey Mouse? Or are you just Eli? I keep forgetting. Love to see your

When I
think of Ben's story, (daily), I am reminded of the song--When God Ran.
The lyrics say...the only time I ever saw Him run was when He ran to me,
He took me in his arms Held my head to His chest, said,"My Son's come
home again....When God ran-I saw him run to me. I can see God running to
embrace Ben in the biggest bear hug he has ever had! I am pray that
image will give you strength in the days and even hours that are to

I can't
imagine the helplessness you must feel as parents watching your baby go
through this. My heart goes out to each of you through this most trying
time. I pray for God to give you strength and peace, to give Eli
understanding and continued faith, and to resolve Ben's pain. Still
Believing He can.

I have
been praying about you often and praying about the right words to help
explain my thoughts. When my Grandma was sick she was such a fighter, it
was her personality, much like Ben. When she was dying, she would not
let go. She continued to suffer and hold on. As a family, we decided we
were going to talk to her(even though she was in an unconscious state)
and tell her that it was OK to go with God, and that we as a family
would miss her deeply, but we would be OK. We actually had to give her
permission to go to God and live gloriously in eternity. Shortly after
we spoke to her, she relaxed, and for a while, was very peaceful, until
she eventually did earn her angel wings. I'm not sure if this helps or
not, but rest assured, he is in good hands either way. God Bless, your
