you both are the strongest people i know. i have a baby well she's not
really a "baby" she'll be 2 on jan.15 but she is stilla baby to me, and
they are priceless. there is not a minute that goes by that she doesn't
do something priceless. i have 4 older girls and my 16 year old was on
retreat with her school and in one of her groups they asked her what was
on thing or person she cherishes most and she said "austyn" (that is our
baby girls name), she told them because no matter how bad of a day she
has all she needs to do is come home and hug austyn and everything is
better. my girls read bens web site all the time and pray for him and
you daily, even austyn. take care of yourselves and eli and give ben a
big kiss and hug from me and keep the pictures coming i love them and
your christmas card. still praying for a miracle and still believing

Dear
Bowens, Thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas card. It was
something I will keep and cherish always. Those pictures were amazing. I
especially loved the one of Ben and Eli with their backs to the camera
hugging each other. It reminded me of Jonathan and Jordan when they were
small. I have many pictures of them hugging also. I also loved the
picture of Jennifer crading and kissing Ben. That one made me cry! It
was the best Christmas card I have ever received. As I read your
updates, my heart hurts and at the same time I am so thankful that you
are having such special moments with your boys. God is good. I am
praying for the tumor to vanish, physical and emotional strength for
Tommy and Jennifer, special grace for Eli to get through these days and
to feel loved, and most of all for ministering angels to surround all of
you and for you to feel the presence of the Lord every moment. You are
in my thoughts and prayers daily. I love all of you very much,Bonnie

You are,
as ever, in my prayers all day. Thank you for the precious glimpse into
your lives. Through your story God has inspired me to be less selfish,
to follow your example and share with those around me. You share so much
with all of us out here following Ben's story, your story. Your message
from 1/4 will be with me all day. Please know that I am still pleading
with God. I know He hears our prayers. Much love, Jennifer White, on
behalf of Scott and Kate also

I admire
you both so much for being able to be so positive about Ben's situation.
I am such an emotional person and even though I know with all my heart
God is in control, the tears for Ben and you guys still come. I thank
the Lord that I can learn from you all how to be strong in all
situations, no matter how difficult it may seem. Those moments you wrote
about are priceless and I love how much you value each one. My parents
were not like that with us and my sister isn't like that with her kids.
They will regret one day when their kids are all grown up and they
missed it. I pray that I can be like you and cherish each and every
moment. Thank you for making me a better person just by reading your
entries.

Tom &
Jennifer, My heart aches for you. I'm checking the web site five to 10
times a day for any new updates. I can't get you off my mind. I know
it's hard to pull away to keep in touch with everyone. We would rather
you spend every second together as a family, but it's hard not knowing
what is going on. You have both been very special to me since we first
became neighbors. I pray for a Miracle for Ben. Children are so
precious. Love & Prayers, Mitzi & Brogan

Dear
Friends, one Sunday morning as I entered our church, my heart was
hurting & especially heavy. I saw a dear friend with a sparkling smile
who beckoned to me. As I walked up to her, I told her that I needed a
hug. This dear lady put her arms around me & whispered in my ear,'Father
as I hold Nancy in my arms, let her feel your loving arms wrapped
strongly around her, your love encircling her, & your strength lifting
her up'. She held me tight for several minutes as the vision of what she
had said took root in my spirit. It was an incredible hug & an awesome
reminder that he always holds us close. Those arms are so many things;
strength, safety, love, compassion, understanding, a soft place to fall
- the list goes on. Your arms hold all of the same things for Ben, Eli,
& Jennifer. We love you and continue to pray, Tom & Nancy

I was
getting ready to read my Bible today and when I opened it I read a
message that my mom wrote to me when she bought the Bible for me when I
was 12 and I thought of you guys...she wrote "Accept the
amazing...expect the impossible...from our Lord." He's SO much bigger
than any of this! Still praying and believing with you!!!

I learned
about Ben via an email prayer list. Know he is in my prayers. Also know
that although things are hard you are so lucky each moment you have with
him. Last year my nephew of 9 months died suddenly one night of SIDS. We
would have loved to have the type of moments you share that you have
with Ben. God Bless you all as His will goes forward, whatever that
might be. Regina Cook

I was so
moved by how you described the way you and Ben would lock eyes and
exchange nods. Our baby was preterm and underwent open-heart surgery
three weeks before his due date. We'd hold fingers and look at each
other, and it's an amazing connection. I was holding fingers with my
hero, a five-pound angel who had endured more in his first weeks of life
than I had been through in my lifetime. I see that in Ben. I pray for
your family and I pray for Eli because this has to be very confusing to
his innocent little mind. What a big boy he is, and what a strong man
he'll be. May God continue to bless your family.

Dear
Bowens, If all families were like yours, strong, loving and so very
close, the world would be a much better place. I have learned so much
from reading your words. Knowing what you as a family are going through
has made me a better person as a wife, mother and individual. My family
continues pray daily for little Ben and Rachel and your entire family.

Ever
since hearing of your son from Sara Poe-Rawlings, your family has been
an inspiration to me. My son Isaiah has been fighting brain cancer for 4
years and his doctors have left us with no hope for recovery. Reading
updates posted by you, and hearing of your undying faith, stamina, and
love is really helping guide me through these hard times with my son. It
helps me to realize that we are not alone, and that love for your
family, and trust in God will ultimately conquer everything. Mt thoughts
and prayers are always with your family.

Dearest
Bowen Family, Just checking in as usual, the pictures of the boys and
their pizza are so precious. I to am struggling right now as my aunt
battles the last stages of cervical cancer. Her hospice team says it may
only be days and our hearts are broken. This cancer is such an
unpredictable thing, but I am comforted by the fact that while it is out
of our control there is one who is in complete control. Our Father. His
grace is undescribable. I pray for your family daily and I know that his
grace will give you strength. Your Ben is a special gift to us all.
Still believing in a miracle, and praying for grace, Patricia Scott

Hey Tom
and Jennifer, I've been keeping up with you guys since the first day I
laid eyes on you at LeBonheur. Do you guys remember that day: things
weren't going to well on your initial visit and I walked right into
it?(I'm soooo glad God sent me in there that day) Just like God worked
it all out then, He is still in the "working it out" business. Ben's
physical state may have been altered, but just look at him, spiritually,
he's still smiling; still encouraging; still loving; and most of all,
still fighting!! God uses whomever, whenever, for whatever and He chose
your baby to exemplify a true warrior! It is evident to those of us whom
have been blessed with the opportunity to "know" Ben, that there is no
limit to what God CAN DO! Ben is truly amazing and continues to give us
all reasons to believe!! While I continue to pray for him and things on
your list, I add, "And Lord, thank Tom, Jennifer and Eli for sharing Ben
with me and the world." Love you guys!! Believing with you, Katrina
