I too
know the awesome power of God and the power that He has given to the
staff of St. Jude Children's Hospital. My son has been a patient there
for over 10 years now, diagnosed with ALL. He has been in remission ever
since and now is a healthy 13 year old. I have been keeping up with
Ben's story daily since the Promise article. Please know that although
we have never met you and your family have become a big part of our
family (The St. Jude Family). Seems like everyone that has ever walked
through the doors of St. Jude with a sick child has instantly felt the
hand of God being wrapped around them. We know that He has a plan for
all of these children and maybe we will all understand them someday but
until then just know that we are praying for your family. Keep smiling
Big Ben because God loves you.

Dear Ben,
Eli, Jennifer and Tom, I wanted to let you know how much you all mean to
me (and my family)and how often you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am
trying to come up with the words to express the impact you have had on
my life. Although I've always had a strong feeling of the importance of
family, watching how you are relishing every available moment with each
other helped me make a life changing decision a couple of weeks ago. As
you know, my mom has terminal cancer and has been told time is limited.
While we continue to pray for a miracle for both you,my mom and all
cancer victims, we are choosing to take advantage of every moment God
has given to us. I decided to quit working at the Disney Store so Mom
and I can enjoy as much time together. I know that while the knowledge
of what is occuring is hard (I can relate to what you are going
through), that knowledge also makes one appreciate all the little things

Our
family is praying for yours. Your story and faith has touched me once
again. God prepares special people to take care of his precious angels
until they return home. You both have been an inspiration to me as long
as I have known you. Jennifer would walk and talk about the faith you
both have had in Jesus in a time when I was not where I should have
been. (Jennifer and I went to Marshall together to be Speech-Language
Pathologists). Our little girl (Emily Faith), at 26 weeks gestation, in
January 2003, went to be with the Lord. I hope her story could touch
just one person the way precious Ben has touched ours. With prayer and

Family, Today I visited Jake Raborn's family at St. Jude's. I saw the
picture of Ben and his dad in the lobby and was just overcome with so
many emotions. What an awesome looking young man Ben is. What an awesome
father he had holding him. I know this is not an easy time for your
family. I will continue to pray for God to hold you all close to him and
to comfort Ben at this hour. I will also pray for God's grace to be with

Bowen Family, My sister Mary Powell and I met you July 2004 at the St.
Jude Hospital, for "Christmas is July" while we were Helping Joe Farris
"the real santa" with all his toys. We took pictures of you and your
family. We sent then to the the hospital, trust you recieved them. We
were back to Mempis for this past Christmas, was asking Marilyn Elledge
about Ben and the family. She gave me the Web site address. I have spent
seveal hours reading the many stories. We are truly blessed that you are
welling to share your family with us. The picture of you and Ben in the

words, but with a smile and sparkling eyes, Ben continues to teach us to
"...Rejoice, again I say rejoice!" not for the moments we won't have
with those close to us, but for the moments we do have. How our hearts
are breaking with yours as we lift you and the Ransbottoms up to our
Lord. We are so thankful for all that you are sharing with us, and yet a
mirror of our wasted moments with out children and those close to us
convicts us and shows us what precious times we have missed in our own
lives. Relationships, with our Father and with those here with us, are
what truly matter. You have forged such relationships within your own
family and with others throughout the world. Nothing will ever be the
same for thousands of people, all because a little boy rejoiced while

As I read
your update my heart was heavy thinking about Ben and about Rachel. I
stopped to pray and was overwhelmed with the magnitude of the
situations. To try to understand your and Rachel's parents' emotions
right now is impossible, and I can barely bear to "go there". But in the
midst of my prayers I was reminded that the Holy Spirit is jumping at
the chance to "go there" and comfort you in times where comfort can only
come from God. My prayers for Ben and for Rachel continue. My heart
hurts. You are loved, and it is from the love of our Father that we can
love strangers as we do. God IS good, and we are still believing.

We have
heard about Rachel through a Parent from Covenant School that has a
daughter in our youngest daughter's(Alyssa) class. She calles us last
night to let us know that she has taken a turn for the worse. We hope
that she will bo fine and her family can get through this ordeal. I hope
