I just
learned of your story tonight and I just wanted to say that I am truly
touched by your family. I hope that some miracle happens and your little
Ben lives a long and happy life. I think it is so unfair that anyone has
to suffer, but your little boy is so lucky to have you as parents. (and
also the other way around). I can just see it in all your pictures how
happy Ben is. I will say a prayer for you and many others tonight. Have

also met in 1993 along with Lori. I was so touched to see what you had
done at Ground Zero. Thank You. When I first heard of Ben's illness, it
really makes you look a lot closer at your kids. I have 4 kids now. God
Bless you and your family. My six year old is watching this with me as I
explain to her what is going on with Ben. She is very emotional about
it. She wants to say a prayer for your family tonight. We will continue
to pray for Ben and also you, Jennifer, and Eli. Continue to have faith.

I was
sitting here feeling sorry for myself because we are without electric,
going on the 6th day, due to an ice storm, when I came across Ben's
website on Kathie Lee Gifford's website. I am so ashamed that I was
being so selfish when there are so many other things for me to be
praying for besides electric. I am praying for you and your family, and

found out about Ben. I didn't know you had a website until my Mom told

Dear Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and "Big Ben" I have been following your story now for a
few short weeks. As a mother of four precious children, I can not even
imagine all of the feelings and emotions you are experiencing during
this time in your lives. It has been a blessing to me to read about how

Bowen family. Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays! I check on little
Ben quite often and it is through your family that I have learned to
love my children as if every day together would be our last. I hug my 11
year old son a little tighter and a little longer now and make sure I
tell him I love him many times a day. I look forward to my 2 month old
daughter waking up several times a night now because that is more time I
get to spend with her. I don't look at it as lost sleep any longer. The
Lord works in mysterious ways and he has a plan for sweet little Ben. I
pray daily for you Bowen family and I also pray for little Rachel now.
Thank you for helping me realize now, more than ever, how precious my

there Ben from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, I saw you when you
came to visit the Sheriff's Office in December(I am the receptionist at
the front desk). I check on you everyday with hopes that you are doing
better. I have seven children of my own and cannot stand the thought of
something happening to one of them, so Tom and Jennifer you are in my
prayers everyday. And to Eli you also are in my prayers for being the
big brother that you are. Your family is with out a doubt the strongest
