Dear
Bowens, We have followed Big Ben's story for several months now. You
are, no doubt, an amazing family, with an amazing relationship with our
precious Lord. We are praying for Ben and for all of you. God is so
good. We can not control the outcome, but we can have a precious
fellowship with the Controller. We pray God will continue to give you
special strength through all you are experiencing. We pray that God will
give Ben comfort and a painless crossing. How wonderful to know that one
day, I will meet this precious little boy who has had such an impact on

Jennifer I write this with a heavy heart for your family. I have nothing
but admiration for you as you endure this journey. I have followed Ben's
Story since late July of this year and that of your friends pages. I
have asked myself several times how I would feel if I were ever dealt
this bad news with my own children. Tom, your words are so carefully and
lovingly selected. It would be so ever easy to be bitter about this news
- but I don't recall an entry where I sensed bitterness in your journal.

Dear Ben,
Your dad asked us to tell you how you have impacted our lives through
yours. I had to think about what I wanted to say. I then thought of the
Three Wisemen who brought gifts to the Baby Jesus to honor HIM who was a
king. They brought three gifts so I am going to let honor you by sharing
with you three gifts that you and your family have given me. The first
gift is a lesson in FAITH, you and your family have shown me how to have
faith even when it doesn't go with our plan but with GOD's instead. The
second gift it the gift of TIME, I cherish each moment that I have with
my son who is just a month younger than you. There are times when I let
him stay up past his bedtime or just hold him a bit longer when he has
fallen asleep. I take the time to cherish those everyday ordinary
moments. The last gift is that of Thankfulness. I am thankful for each
day that you are alive. I am thankful for the sharing that your family

Ben, I am
so saddened to hear that you are not feeling well and you are slowing
down on your activites. You are an amazing and strong little boy. I am
so honored and feel so blessed to have you in my life. Even though I
have not met you, I feel like I have known you for ever. I loved to see
you having fun putting the Thomas train set together with Eli. It looks
like a lot of fun. Your smile continues to light up the pages and makes
my day more enjoyable. Trhough you I have learned to live life to the

Dearest
Bowens--I feel like there are no words right now. You've asked how Ben
has touched my life; I think he has taught me the gift of being humble.
He has taught me that each day is truly a gift. I may have money
trouble, or conflicts at work, but I am alive. I have people who love me
and people that I love more than life itself. Ben has taught me to
remember that from day to day. He makes me remember to hug a little
tighter and hang on a little longer. These words seem empty right now as
I know what you are facing. I hope that you and your family will
experience that Christmas miracle that you so richly deserve. Eli, you
hug that little brother of yours. You are so lucky that you understand
how precious your brother is; I wish I could have learned that earlier.
