Bowen Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have spent my
adult life knowing there is no reason to question God, however, at this
moment, with a heavy heart, as I sit here on this day, with evening
plans to celebrate another year of my life, I can't help but wonder why
precious Ben wasn't given longevity? Yet, at the same time, I know God
knows and He makes no mistakes. Big Ben's short life accomplished more
than I could ever dream of in my 37 years. Your family allowed God to
use him for His purpose. I thank you for sharing all of Ben with us. May
God keep you strong for each other and Eli. God loves will continue to
comfort you. I offer you all my deepest sympathy along with these words
of my favorite song: "O' peace of God, rain on me, my spirit's calling
to be free. My heart is heavy, I'm weighted down, but I know that your
presence will always be around." Rest, sweet Ben.

I just
returned from Up 'Til Dawn, our college's fundraiser for St. Jude
Children's Hospital. This evening, we watched a presentation about Big
Ben, which was put together by my friend Emily Kaiden. Hundreds of
college students watched this, while wearing their new Big Ben
wristbands, and several were moved to tears. Feelings of grief are
understood and expected at a time like this, but we can thank the Lord
that we know Big Ben is with Jesus and is no longer in pain. Your family
is in my prayers, especially Eli, who is such a strong little man. May
God bless you all.

Dear
Bowens, Thank you Ben for showing us grace and courage in the way you
lived your life. Thank you Ben for sharing with us, teaching us that we
can have happiness and joy in life as long as our God is with us. The
impact of the love and joy you showed will be felt in your God's kingdom
forever. Thank you Tom, Jennifer, and Eli for allowing us to intrude
during a time that would destroy most men. The desire to allow God and
Ben to mimister to us and to show off the love and grace of God has
changed countless lives. Look up for when Ben entered into His presecne
there is no doubt he heard our God say " truly a man who sought the
heart of God". Just thinking of Ben being pain free and being with Jesus

Dear
Bowens, As I woke up this morning I heard the news of your loss and
tears began to stream down my face. I immediately went to my computer to
check out your website. I am glad that the last minutes of his life he
was surrounded by his parents. I am sure that you will forever treasure
those last moments. It is amazing how so many people who have never met
your son or your family personanlly can be moved by this story. I am
hurting for your family right now but knowing that Ben did receive his
final healing is the best news out of all of this. It is obvious that
people who have read your guest book have been changed for the better
like myself because of one Big Ben who was just 2 years old. Thank You

It is so
comforting to know that Ben has been made new. He has a glorified
body--isn't that great? It is natural to mourn your loss but I think

Bowens, I dayly looked up your homepage to check how Ben is doing .Every
time I expected a sad news.Yesterday evening, my daughter and I prayed
our evening prayer and she prayed for Ben that his pain is taken from

Jennifer, Tom and little Eli: I am so sorry to hear about losing little
BIG BEN to this terrible desease. We just received our proudly worn BIG
BEN's wrist bands yesterday. I work nights and heard about little BIG
BEN and have been praying all night for the family. My wife and I lost a
16 month old little girl and sure understand what you are going through,
even though we have not meet your family in person, we have been
following your travel down such a long and heart breaking road, but one
thing that my wife and I have in common with you Jennifer and Tom, is
that we too are very proud parents of an ANGEL. I know that you two even
though have lost such a beautiful gift from GOD, have to feel some
relief knowing that your baby is no longer in any pain and is walking in
Heaven whole and without any pain. Please just remember one thing, it
will never get easy, but it will get easier each and every day, and no
matter what anyone says, there is no right way or wrong way in handling

dont understand i would take his place for u because his life was ahead
of him but i know god wanted him for a purpose .when ever u hear a bell
