Dear Tom
& Jennifer: Why does God allow...? Try to remember that pain & suffering
resulted from Adam's sin. Sin changed everything on earth & God never
intended for Ben or anyone to endure such horror. These experiences
become a stamp of surety that God's Word is true to the end, including
that He will wipe away all our tears. Our Righteous Father will make all
things right in His timing.Ps. 43:5...hope in God: for I shall yet
praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Eli--It's ok for you to be scared right now. Mommy and Daddy are scared
too, I bet. Ben isn't scared though. He knows that he'll go be with
Jesus soon. You don't have to be scared... Just love on Ben and try your
very best to remember all the fun you've had being a big brother. You've
got a whole lot of people caring for you, Eli. Be brave.

Jennifer, We can't get you guys off of our minds. Brian started to call
but we both agreed that there are times that we hate to hear the phone
ring and we know you get many more calls than us.It is hard to say the
same thing over and over to everyone. Please understand though that we
love you and are praying for you constantly. We just don't want to
bother you now during this time. Don't hesitate to call us if you need
anything. It has been such a big world for Eli to understand so early in

Our
hearts are heavy for your pain, Ben’s suffering, Eli’s fear. We want to
ask and know why this beautiful child has suffered so, why such a man
and woman of God have endured such a trial, and why an incredible big
brother has seen more in his short life than most adults. Were it not
for those “glimpses of God”, you would not have been able to bear it.
Those ‘glimpses’ are what have brought so many people back again and
again to your website and those glimpses are gentle reminders that He is
by your side each moment. While the enemy is the one who has come to
steal, kill, and destroy, glimpses remind us all that the battle has
already been won, we are more than conquerors – we are the victors. May
Ben be delivered from pain, may Eli be wrapped in the arms of peace and

I'm
praying so hard! I can't even imagine what a scary time this must be for
sweet Eli. But, I do know that God gave him two amazing parents with
hearts like Jesus to help him through it! I feel as though each day, I
have such a heavy heart as I worry about Ben's physical pain and your
emotional pain that must also feel physical as you watch him endure it.
I am always so heartbroken to find out that he has had to endure more
pain. I, like you, can't help but wonder why. I know that God is in
control, but we are all human and naturally wonder why such a sweet baby
must continue to suffer. But, I know that one day soon Ben will be free
from all of this pain and able to see all of the ways his life has
changed this world in the image God intended. Living for that day...and
praying for you all!

Prayers,
thoughts, hugs and well wishes sending your way. Even my son who is
about to turn 4 has whispered many prayers for your family. I am praying
for comfort for Big Ben and You Tom and Jennifer. Especially for little
Eli, it is so much for him to go through at this age. I know that the
Lord will not give his little mind more than he can handle. I pray every

Dear
sweet Bowen family. I beleive that you are doing everything right. It is
okay to ask questions and wonder why, but you remain strong and are not
getting angry and mad at GOD during this time. GOD has a purpose for
everything and we may not even know why until we meet him face to face.
I too wonder why when I look at my sweet daughter. Only GOD knows why
and all we can do is continue to trust in HIM. I beleive that you are
doing that and your faith is stronger than any I've seen even in my own
life sometimes. You have inspired me to become stronger in my faith and
to rely more on GOD in protecting and looking out for my daughter.
Sometimes it is so hard to give your children to him, but remember. They
were his first. Tell sweet Eli that he is in my thoughts and prayers and

I've been
thinking about all of you all day today. Tom, you and your wife are the
strongest people I know to be able to watch your little boy suffer like
this and somehow find the courage to go on....you both amaze me, I am in
AWE of you. I am praying hard for all of you but especially for Eli and
for Ben. For Eli, that he doesn't have anxiety over this situation and

I do not
have the gift of words like so many. Still praying for Ben-praying for
some pain free days. IT is hard to understand when you ask WHY-but if
you do not ask why you will see-Ben has brought so many back to the Lord
and made us all realize how wonderfull our lives are and has made us
thankfull for the many blessings, one of my blessings was when I found
Ben's page. My heart breaks for you but he has touched my heart like it

nurses who took care of me were brought to smiles whilst sharing their

I have
some thoughts from the Bible that I hope will give you some comfort. The
Bible says that the more you suffer the closer you are to God. So this
gives me comfort to know that Ben has a front row seat reserved. I check
on Ben every day at least once and the pain and suffering is unbearable
for me, so I can only imagine as Ben's parents how you must feel. Please
