Tom,
thank you so much for sharing the "why" does Ben have to suffer so much.
In my prayers for these little ones each day I question God about WHY?
Why the babies, why do they have to suffer so much...then I guestion
myself and wonder "why" I have to ask "why" when other's do not. So now
I realize that even with your amazing faith you too ask "why" thank you
for sharing. I'm so sorry for Eli, I can't even begin to imagine what
his little mind must be going through to watch someone he loves so much
suffer so. I continue to pray daily for you all.

Big Ben,
I am heartbroken more and more each time I read the latest updates. My
heart is with your family. I am lifting you up in many special prayers
today and throughout the following days. You have no idea how you have
touched my life. I have really learned to not take anything or anyone
for granted. And I have learnes that Faith and your family are so much
more important than all of the material things combined. I am also
lifting up your big brother Eli in many rpayers for his little heart to
understand (as best it can) why all of this is happening to your family.
I am not sure that I can understand. I am keeping my Faith as a
strngpoint inm y life so one day I may know the answers to the Why
question. You are both such brave and courageous little boys. You and
Eli and my Tiny Heros. I want you to know that I am here for you if you
need me. I am a great listener. Forever Believing and Always Loving,
Barb

Much love
your way! May the Lord bless and keep you make HIs face shine upon you
and give you peace. If I could dump buckets and buckets of His living
water of love over your family I would, so I am asking HIm to do that by
His Spirit. Eli, the Lord your God is with you, your strong tower, your
shield, hide in the shadow of His wings. Love you! - Kim

I just
want to say my prayers are with you. I heard a song on the christian
radio station the other day and I thought of Ben, the song was "I want
to leave a Legacy" and boy is Ben leaving a legacy in his short time. He
is one wonderful little boy. Eli is another example of a wonderful
caring little boy. There is a radio station in the Columbus Nebraska
area raising money for St Jude, they had Bens story on there. I missed
the story but one of the girls I work with and have told your story to,
told me she heard it. I think the radio station is raising quite a bit
of money for St Jude this is day 2 of the fund raiser. Take care and God
Bless all of you. Laurie

are so strong! You are a complete inspiration. I heard about your family
on the St. Jude radiothon. I listen every year, crying throughout the

I was
forwarded your link by a co-worker and have been following Ben's story
for a few weeks. I don't know why bad things happen to good people. You
know God is not putting you to the test. I imagine it must be
heartbreaking to see your child go through such pain. Remember, though,
that when he goes to heaven, he will receive a beautiful, glorified,
totally healed body and he will not remember the pain he endured in this
life. Jesus endured the ultimate pain for us. Perhaps through Ben's
suffering God is bringing more people to Himself. God Bless. You are in
my prayers.

I know
there are no words to say to you right now. I just wanted you to know I
am thinking and praying for you. No one should have to experience what
you are right now. I pray that Ben can be pain free and not suffer any
longer. I will also be praying for Eli, how awful to see your baby
brother like this and not know why. I pray for the 2 of you as you
experience any parents worst nightmare. I am so sorry for that. Ben has
touched so many lives and although I am a stranger he has had a great
impact on me. Your faith is amazing, and not only Ben, but your entire
family is truly made a deep impression on many lives.

Tom,
Jennifer, Eli and Ben, I don't know if this will help at all with
answering your question why God would allow this, but this is how I see
it and thought I would share my thoughts with you. I believe that
without suffering of beautiful children such as Ben, man would not be
able to ever fully understand the true gift that God gave us by allowing
his son to suffer and die on the cross for us. Through children like
your beautiful little Ben, we begin to understand how hard this must
have been and how much God must truly love us. I hope that this might
help and maybe you already felt this, but I thought as a member of a St.
Jude family. I would share my belief. I pray for your entire family
always and especially for both of your sons. Love, Amber

It is
amazing that you take the time to update Ben's prayer warriors even as
you watch him suffer. It is even more amazing that you continue to
glorify God while your little one is going through hell on earth. After
reading about so many children with cancer, I have almost gotten past
"Why do children get cancer?" Of course, I do wonder that, but I think
part of the answer lies in the fact that this world is fallen and that
things happen. They happen to all kinds of people in all walks of life.
My view is that how we react to what happens is what helps identify us
as believers. The one thing I do ask God, though, is why he is letting
Ben suffer. I don't think for a minute that God is inflicting this on
Ben. Still, I know that with one touch God could erase all this pain.
Why won't he? I don't understand that, and yet, like you, I will
struggle to continue trusting and hoping in a God who can see the real
picture--which is infinitely bigger than anything we can grasp. You are
a tremendous witness to that big picture, that big sto

My
prayers are with Ben and the rest of your family. I know this is a very
difficult time for you but I know that God will take care of you today
and each day that comes. I know what it's like to watch someone that you
love in that kind of pain, my sister passed away two years ago after a
five year battle with cancer, she to had many surgeries, and other
procedures and treatments and at the end nothing worked we had to watch
her suffer, all during her illness she never lost her faith in the Lord
and now she is in Heaven with no pain and that is what has got me
through this. I don't know Ben but feel so close to him and think of him
everyday. He has made me see that know matter what happens in life all
we need to do is fight and keep our faith in God and everything will be
okay. He is such a strong little boy not many people if in his shoes
could be that strong. Give Ben a big hug and tell him that everyone at
Cremeans Chapel Church in Lesage is praying for him and that we love him
and your family.

As I
watched the sunrise this morning my thoughts were of Ben and how he has
been doing the last few days. Your update was so hard to read this
morning. The sunrise was so beautiful. So full of hope of a new day
dawning. Ben has a new day that will be dawning soon. He will get to see
every sunrise from the best place - Heaven. He will see every sunrise
without pain, without suffering, without fear. I pray Ben's legacy will
reach people all the world. I pray also for understanding to be given to
you and Jennifer. I pray for little Eli, that his fears will go away,
that he will always remember his brother before he got sick. Dear Jesus,
grant this precious family peace. They have suffered for so long.
Father, help Tom and Jennifer comfort Eli and each other. Give them the
words they need to explain all of this to Eli. And lastly, end Ben's
pain. Give him complete healing. Thank-you for Ben's life and what he
has given the world in his short life. In Your Name & In Your Grip,Amen.

Dear
Bowen Family, You are so very right, God is at work all around your
family. I am so very sorry that Ben is in so much pain, it is so unfair
after everything he has endured. On a special note to Eli, sweetie it is
okay to be angry, scared and sad. You are a very good big brother and
Ben knows you are there for him even when you aren't right next to him.
Remember Eli, brothers are forever even when Ben goes to heaven he will
always be your little brother and you his big brother. Please know your
family is in so many peoples thoughts and prayers. I pray for Ben his
miracle in whatever form it chooses to take. Much Love, Joy and the
